won't happen, the reddit circle jerk on hai was always something i did not understand at all. but that's what happens when you have a bunch of silver players trying to understand high level play, mechanics is second to team play imo and always will be unless you're just consistently getting too many solo kills to let your opponent play.

hai was an amazing shotcaller and a decent player, getting rid of him will set them back at least this split for sure and maybe even next split.

i don't understand the hate on dyrus either, though i dislike TSM because of how regi carries himself it makes it very easy to dislike them, but that being said replacing dyrus with someone else in NA would be asinine

Hais problem was his champ pool was shrinking and because of wrist problems he couldn't put the time in to pickup new champs.
At the end of last split he had 2 viable picks - zed and corki.

No, he said he /couldn't/ put in 8 hours of practice, and felt it was unfair to his team that he couldn't put in the amount of work they were doing.

I do agree that Hai is one of the best big-picture strategists and shot-callers in all of the LCS, and while I agree with you that he couldn't care less what Reddit says, I will say that I think Charlie is an enormous liability for the team. C9 used to DOMINATE pick/bans like no one else, NA or elsewhere. You can tell it's not the same approach as they had when it was all Lemon-- even when they were slumping last season, they were able to pick/ban very well the vast majority of the time. Now it feels like they're losing there. Hai has also said (and some others have kind of hinted at) that there have been less trust of Hai, and it seems to coincide with Charlie coming in, second-guessing Hai and leading C9 to not follow Hai's lead as instantly. Even when Hai was getting beat, they were still all on the same page and his superior calling and organization made the difference; last split, those half-seconds delays, or the not following were costing, and you could see it.

If Hai were physically able to play (and I get that limitation-- I have enormous joints problems that make some of the mechanical things even of Gold/Silver tiers just beyond my limits), I still think there would be problems, just because Charlie really seems to have gotten into C9's head. Since he's been a coach, the team has been worse. Not just not getting better as fast as other NA teams, actually getting worse.

It's been around since forever; when Gnar first came out, I ran with it. The thing is, at least at my skill tier, I found that you really need to be well ahead as a team and individually, or it's a liability. I mean, you're looking at a megagnar who is missing 2.4k from his build. It makes a very strong Gnar much stronger, but if all else is even, it's probably setting you back. And if you're already behind, it's going to push you further back. Didn't see Wickd use it, but that's what I saw.

woops i hadn't checked this thread in a while. i think in interviews hai said that his teammates lost faith in him. i was almost positive he said he was still able to play 8 hours a day in the gamespot interview with travis but wanted to move in a different direction by growing the c9 brand and his main reason for stepping down was his teammates losing faith. maybe i'm wrong though but it's irrelevant, even if he could only play 2 hours a day he would be faring better than incarnation is

hadn't heard of the charlie piece though, interesting and probably a true observation that he is having a negative impact on c9
