Watched the first two and a half games then went to bed, from what I saw NA is still godawful. Throw, counter throw, counter counter throw, counter counter counter throw game 1. Game 2 wasn't much better.
Even a team like JAG would stomp na.

Lyte was the face of Riot policy. If you think his departure affects anything to do with the game, you're overestimating his influence greatly.

idk if you know much about lyte or what he's done over the years but besides all his chat reforming nonsense never really doing anything scaleable while using up a ton of riot resources and ignoring things like scripts/bots for years and years, he also was one of the main pushers of dynamic queue which i'm guessing has had millions of people playing less over the months since it's release

I don't know where you're getting the lower player number argument. There are no player base statistics since August of 2015. If you want to drop the whole thing on his head, that's fine. I doubt he wields anywhere near the influence that you're giving him.

i have a pretty decent sample size and do a lot with the API, the number of ranked players and ranked games going on has decreased significantly. i don't keep track of any other game type but i'm guessing it's similar

my sample size is only about 50k~ users(ranked) and it's down about 20% in the last 6 months and amount of games played is down about 40%.

there's no easy way for me to show you the data.

so out of my sample size, less people playing and the people who are playing are playing less
