Just got around to watching the SKT/KT series.
Game 1 KT Stomp. Dear god Hachani.
Game 2 SKT Stomp.
Game 3 Close game, SKT looked to have it on lock but KT managed to find a way back in. Then it went into a very cagey midgame that looked a lot like an EU LCS game from 2 seasons ago. Kakao fails smite and trist steals and it ends the game. Bang gets a penta, wins a pc.
Game 4: KT pick up a decent lead early, turn it into a stomp.
Game 5: 2 gragas, no other mirrors. Rookie takes Kassadin, does kassadin things. Hachani is a monster yet again.

White vs Blue about to start in OGN Semi finals. Sucks that this can't be the real finals, but maybe they'll meet up again at the Worlds finals.

Acorn on Maokai is immortal. He probably could fight for 10min and still have half health.

DIG White vs. DIG Blue
EDIT: Scumbag Pawn

That was a fun series. OGN finals are set up now, and will be on Saturday, Aug. 16th. It's being held in Haeundae, which is like a 20 minute ride for me on the subway, so I'm going to try and buy some tickets this weekend. Get hype

Fun series, but damn white made some really hard throws.
Game 1: Bad baron call, didn't cost the game. Then fight in a funnel vs ryze and maokai, actually throw the game.
Similarly lol decisions in game 3/4.
Blue are gonna win OGN and then win worlds.
-
Ended kinda unexpected. From the past performances, my money was on White either 3-2 or 3-1. Not complaining tho, I'm happy for SKT K. They can still get the 2nd bye now.
-
As Monte always says, the team kills can be tough to predict. Recent performance against other teams doesn't matter as much, because none of those teams can possibly be as prepared or experienced as the sister teams. Blue has now knocked White out of the tournament twice in a row. We would never get any of this info from a Korean organization, but it would be interesting to get some information about how their scrims go against each other.

Is there a place I can watch NLB?

The NLB stream is here:
http://www.twitch.tv/nicegametv
They usually only have English casts for the finals, so that stream will be all in Korean. Still worth watching if you want to see the JinAir team kill tonight.

CJ Frost vs SKT K first game was strange. Faker picked Kog'Maw mid and they were playing sloppy but still won, mostly because Space misplayed on Tristana. Strangely enough he picked her again in the second game and played even worse, so they got stomped by K.
-
Najin Black Sword won their NLB Semifinal against their sister team White Shield yesterday 2-0, to make it into NLB finals once again. In about 1hr SKT K plays their Semifinal against JinAir Stealths (won 2-0 against Falcons). Also, Samsung White fight for the 3rd place in Champions tomorrow against SKT S. If they loose (unlikely), SKT K automatically gets the 2nd bye for Worlds. If they win, K needs to win NLB to earn the Tie-Break match vs White for the 2nd bye.
Edit: I can't see SKT K staying together after Worlds. Bengi plays atrocious again, 0/4/2 Rengar until last fight. Impact useless on Ryze and almost died in a 1v1 vs Mundo. ManDu only got caught out once but like Impact, was useless. Couldn't defend tower nor inhib vs Lulu. Faker carried on Kog'Maw and they only won the first game because Stealths were stupid enough to funnel at blue, where Kog/Trist could shoot point blank.
Edit2: Seems they learned, K now first banned Rengar. Won second game. If you want to see how not to play ADC, watch game 3 tho. Piglet 0/7/4 on Kog'Maw. Constantly out of position or pushing alone into enemy territory without any vision. Also built botrk first vs Trist.
Edit3: Jesus, SKT K is a train wreck. They don't deserve the 2nd bye and I would even bet on KTA defeating them for the 3rd spot. Piglet back 2 back with 0 kills. Bengi back 2 back with 4+ kills and having no influence on the game at all. Maybe he should give some kills to his ADC instead of securing tripple kills. Then the team fights, like no focus at all. Faker busy poking Shyv until all team members are dead and then gets exhausted. Same goes for pick/ban phase. Let's give Cpt. Jack Tristana again, because he wasn't good enough the first time. Or the Yasuo + Allistar wombo combo.

Monte said it best when he mentioned just how hard faker has to carry SKT.
Hundred acre botlane is trash now, bengi has no prescense at all.

Yeah bengi has looked terrible lately. Other lanes as well not looking great. Needs an overhaul.

SKT S got stomped even harder than expected by White. First game was decided after 5min and DanDy showed the world how to play Rengar.

So now K needs to win NLB to get the tiebreaker vs White, where they're gonna get dumpstered anyway, because Dandy is gonna teabag Bengi so hard he thinks he's in the 1800s on a tea plantation.

Faker's Yasuo play today... I can't even...
-
This final had everything. Faker god plays (we are not worthy), insane comebacks, Baron steals, backdoors like a porn star and Impact with the best Allistar play ever. Seriously, Faker may have created another play that gets reposted for the next 6 months, but Impact was the real MVP. That steal and multiple teamfights where he destroyed Najins teamfight ability. Mandu had a similar run on support Lulu and although he and Piglet got stomped in the first half of the second game, they overall looked a lot better.
I can't see them winning three times over Samsung White, because White will never give them a team comp like Yasuo/Allistar or Ori/Allistar/Lulu but they should defeat KTA in the 3rd spot match now.
