@Zetanio: remember I created an EU account the other day to play with a mate? And then remember I was rambling about "wtf eu free dudes are different"? I finally found out why!!!

So that is why the free dudes I expected were not in there. Instead, the likes of Graves, Katarina, Kayle, Lux, Garen, Jinx and a few others were present. I was rather surprised at the presence of Jinx and Graves considering their cost (unless the new player dumps cash on RP, not like they can pick them up after they hit level 6)

I was using garen yesterday and a "gold main" (he says) guy told me to go bottom despite my protests..... AGAINST A JINX AND GRAVES. However he got increasingly ragey and I didn't feel like triggering him more so I went for it, rather than let him get more menstrual about it.
I was absolutely denied everything. In fact I couldn't even play without getting poked to the moon and back. So I went jungling, and he got menstrual again lol

Also I was trying to keep my friend in good spirits; we were unfortunately for one of the games playing against a ranked (silver; someone asked midgame) player who used Katarina. I was unable to deny him the farm in mid as Garen again but only gave him one kill until my tower went down and he roamed around ganking everyone and snowballing. It was a bit demoralising for him as he got insta-melted everytime Kat appeared.

In general I find it fascinating to play against someone knowing they are ranked. The difference in skill and stuff is really noticable.

playing the first few levels (like 1-10) is absolute cancer and like 90% of people you encounter are complete shitheads that got banned on another account. it eventually gets better

Ah right I didn't consider the banned factor. I'll let him know. I wasn't phased but more amused then anything lol. But since playing on skype for some reason everytime I land a kill, significantly weaken someone or get lucky and escape I'm always laugh-saying "yeahhh fuck you" lol

I like to talk and have a good time in chat for the most part since I only do normals/aram usually. I just hit Tab and mute someone the second they start being asshats in chat. It has improved my fun in the game so so much.

Actually I also noticed something of recent. My ARAM games are getting decent, most times. So this hidden rating thingy does indeed work I guess. Anyone got a maths/calculator thing for that? I presume the more I win, the more I will be grouped up with people who win lol. Probably explains my shit normal Rift games -- I queue up with a RL friend who's won 1050+ matches and I have a grand total of ... 27? Dunno what the maths is like for queueing with a level 30 with lots of wins, but I'm always outmatched lol

Also, RekSai is free this week. Oh wow what a FUN dude to play as. I enjoy digging around, I enjoy shooting submarine like missiles, I enjoy tunnel-engaging-knockup. And no mana to manage either!

I'm sitting on 15k IP and have nothing to do with it; there's no one I want to buy... maybe Lucian... There needs to be some sort of heavy conversion to RP method. Maybe 2000 IP = 20 RP or something. Just something to allow people to slowly work towards a skin they want if they don't feel like blowing cash.

tier 3 runes should be the first thing on your list sadly, as tough as it is to get enough IP for them as a new player they are vitally important.

riot won't ever make a IP to RP conversion there are a lot of us sitting on 60k+ IP with every champion/rune page/rune on our mains

MMR and there's is no accurate way, because Riot hasn't released the algorithm. op.gg gives you a number which is estimated based on your and the other players division. It's better to check the ranks of the players participating anyway. I only play ARAM nowadays and if I'm on a loosing streak I get more bronze than silvers. If I'm on a winning streak I get an occasional gold with the silvers. So I'm probably somewhere in the low silvers.

Yeah I only ARAM these days and I'm sitting squarely in gold right now. Some days I'll get diamonds and a plat if I'm on a winning streak (which says nothing about my performance, as I usually have my best games in losing efforts), and when I play with friends, I'll get bumped into some bronzes and silvers.

Got into an a level 20-30 ARAM with a Gnar player. He died... lots. I asked him flatout if he was a bot, he never replied. 20 mins later his tactic of going in face first and tank built actually works lol. We won with many kills behind. He wasn't a bot in the end (later behaviour suggests he's actually playing like a human would). I feel a bit bad to have accused him as a bot lol, as it's rare to see one at that level based on recent play

After a silly amount of time in Bronze I've finally pushed into the Silver ranks. Taking Vi all the way. I'm unstoppable at the moment.

How come no one talks about the LCS anymore in the other thread? That EU series was intense - even the atmosphere in the stadium with the chants (i.e. Huni chant). NA seemed pretty lackluster except the games were at least enjoyable. Felt like watching a simple live stream with commentators.
