One of the best shutdown centres in the league. The only thing i can think of is management feels eller is ready to take that role, but i dont think he is ready.

Unless we get a top tier offensive threat in return, bad bad move

Eric has never been great on defense but Jordan has always pretty over rated and it has shown in CAR. He's a decent defender but not amazing.

I wouldn't say Pleks is one of the best either, but the Staals have no business being on there, lol.

Pleks is a good defensive center but had a down year.

As far as "shut down centers" he's never really been in the top 10, nor is he one of the more productive shut down centers.

I don't really see a problem with trading him unless the return is crap.
