Also, Caps already used one compliance buyout
But he was +50 one year!
+/- matters, right guys? Guys?
EXCITEMENT
It's DRAFT DAY!!!!!!!
Here's hoping there are a bunch of "WTF" trades and transactions like there were last year (hi2u Schneider to NJ).
This Draft is going to be historic, I hear a buncha Canadian's are gonna go in the first round! Might even have a Canadian kid be taken first overall!
hhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnngggggggRenaud Lavoie @renlavoietva 2m
Right now the cap for next season will be at $68M and that's causing problems. But wait ! NHL and NHLPA are still talking. Final # to come.
HHHHHHHHNNNNNNGGGGGG
Kesler to Anaheim
wat, seems like a pretty shit deal for Van to mePierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun 45s
Anaheim will trade Bonino, Sbisa plus 24th overall pick and teams will swap third-rounders once deal goes through
Bonino and Sbisa are useful players with reasonable cap hits, plus they get a late 1st. But yeah, I would think Vancouver could have gotten more.
Spoiler: show
Hmmmm....not sure about that one Vancouver.
Chris Higgins will lead the team to glory next year.
Glory being an epic lottery chance against the Oilers
rip pacific
Corey Pronman @coreypronman · 6m
Sbisa is mostly meaningless in the deal. It's Bonino and the 24th for Kesler. Nick emerged as a 2L fwd, and is on a great deal for 3 yrs.Pronman rules.Corey Pronman @coreypronman 1m
Even if Bonino is a 3L fwd (more likely), it's a cheap deal. Kesler's last 3 years haven't been elite either. Mostly fair deal, lean to ANA.
Sbisa has played one full year in 6 years, without getting injured. That's pretty bad, lol.
Bonino is pretty unproven as this year was hist first "full" season at NHL level. Breakout year in high powered offensive system or just a fluke? He was pretty solid most of the year but had just 9pts after the Olympic break.
They are decent players and the 1st round pick is nice, especially if they want to try and move up in the draft but I would have expected more. Then again, it's Van and they keep getting shit returns on their players because they wait too long to trade them.
Okay well that makes a little more sense. CHI probably offered Roszival and a bag of pucks.Andy Strickland @andystrickland 6m
Ryan Kesler gave Vancouver #Canucks two destinations he would accept a trade to. #Ducks or #Blackhawks
