Honestly Kesler has been on the down slide since their cup run. Hes been hurt a lot and hasnt broken 50 points. Does this make the Ducks better? Sure down the middle but they still have some other issues to work out.

I dont see how he handcuffed the nucks. You dont know how the negotiation went. If you want handcuffing, look at Spezza. He flat out said "i dont want to play here", which drops his value. Theres no indication that Kesler or management told the league/media that Kesler will only accept Ana or Hawks.

Jim Benning confirms Kesler came to him and asked to be traded. He said getting Bonino to replace Kesler's goal production was important.

He PRIVATELY told nucks GM he wants to be traded. How does that lower his value to the other 29 teams? His value remains the same to the other 29 teams, as all they know is "Kesler is trade bait", they are unaware that only Anaheim and Chicago are in the running. I'm sure he took calls but again, What good does it do? He can't trade him anywhere Kesler doesn't want to go. Would he not just be wasting his time working on deals he can not do? Most he could really do is use Chicago and Anaheim against each other to try and rise the price.

Spezza gave a list of 20 teams. Kesler gave 2. In the next few days I expect more news to come out on Kesler talking about how the management or fanbase wanted him gone.
