Where do the NIN two new spells come from? Anybody found them?
hmm nvm lol
I found a blank but target-able spot in Rala Waterways that I suspect is part of the new quest 'A Thirst for the Eons', though that is just a hunch right now, but a strong one.
Anyway, when I click it I am presented with a question: What entity keeps the Sacred City safe?
A dialogue box appears that lets me type in my answer. It seems a wrong answer will teleport you to a random spot in Eastern Adoulin. On my second wrong guess I was teleported to the top of a streetlight. I've tried the answers "Arciela"(was just a random guess, didn't think it would teleport me out) and then "August", but both were wrong.
If anyone's a little more familiar than me with the lore, I could use some guesses since it's annoying to keep running back.
Is status timers broken? Aftermath jumps to like a 19:40 timer after like 15 seconds so annoying to gauge its remaining duration.
As SE mentioned in the past, they were adding two KIs that allow players to get past the doors in Eldieme Necropolis and Halvung (normally took 6 people).
The Eldieme KI is from Churano-Shurano in Windurst Waters (North Side, F-8). The quest prompts you to give him 10,000 gil for a Magicked Astrolabe.
The Halvung KI is from a ??? target at (J-8). It mentions a dull piece of metal on the ground. Trade a Moblin oil (I got mine from a Troll Engraver in Halvung) to the ??? to get a Bracelet of Verve.
Assuming you are
1) not capped,
2) unwilling to make whatever gear adjustments would be necessary to recover the accuracy you lost, and
3) literally never do anything where you could cap accuracy with a ilvl115 weapon, in which case the WKR weapon would utterly dominate and you could go back to your 119 when you actually do Very Difficult Whatever,
a 25% reduction in hit rate is still less than a 40% increase in attacks.
Uh, wow. Good job being both correct and fundamentally retarded at the same time.
95/25 = 70
70*1.4 = 98
95 hits / 100 rounds vs 98 hits / 100 rounds, but you've lost that accuracy on your WSing as well which OAT does not benefit and lost base damage too, all before even factoring attack.
Ok, so even under the best possible circumstances for a 119, it's close to a wash.
You've lost a whopping 16 base damage going from Gungnir to Kuakuakait (which, as Ophannus mentions, is a lot less than the hit DRGs took for choosing Chauve-Soris or whatever it was called), and the additional accuracy lost only matters for jobs using multihit WS, which, while many, is not all.
Nobody is suggesting anybody throw away their relics.
any luck with that new pet food?
There's a post in the crafting forum about it. They're rice balls, basically, and the beans can be bought at the crafting guild by anybody who can actually make the recipe.
That would seem to suggest that the merit point progression is: 1 > 3 > 5 > 7 > 9 > 12 > 15 > 18 > 21 > 24 > 27 > 30 > 33 > 36 > 39 (280 merit points total). Can anybody confirm that?
Also, does anybody know the merit point progression for stats now that they can be raised from 12 to 15? All I know is that the first upgrade (that is to say upgrade 13) costs 15 merit points.
It costs 18 to get to 14.
Except that isn't the best possible circumstances for several reasons. Mainly because all you are factoring in is rate of attacks but even then you still fail to account for other forms of multiple hits which will have a huge effect on things. It also doesn't account for the effect of all that att from skill or any of the special stats on most 119 pieces which tends to be better than the ones on naakual weapons.
So a little info on crusade. Cost 18 mp takes. Has a rather decent cast time ~6 seconds. But lasts 5 minutes with only a 10 sec recast.... Gives enmity boost effect and the buff says enmity generation is increased so sounds like just some kind of +enmity but will wait for testing till can tell for certain.... which might be awhile with the mule I use for such things banned lol
Has anyone tested if WS damage on a main hand weapon effects ranged weaponskills?
Thank you Enoch! Looks like a pizza for pets? Slightly less accuracy but also an attack boost.Akamochi:
