Sam was still potent, just the atmas were garbage for the job, but I agree that its shit for zerg fights. but then again only WAR DRK and to some extent MNK (but rather less) were considered top tier for zerg fights (especially DRK). oh well it doesnt matter, SAM is allways only gonna get buffs and no nerfs and will allways reside at the upper range considering DDs.

From 75 to 99 Sam got "ninja nerfed", if you compare gkt dmg to some other wpn damage like great sword the dmg boost gkt got is lower; also the access to zero good ilvl polearm is another "ninja nerf" compared to 75 era.

For exemple amano got about a 50% boost in damage bravura and ragnarok and gungnir boost was closer to 60% so yeah people like to hate and think omg sam > ALL; I wouldn't be surprised that once people gear for it outside of solo dd sc, ragnarok war and drk do more dmg than sam.

Not on my server... people were definitely making sam pentathrust builds that did the same thing the drgs were doing but with even more tp returned

Yeah Rukenshin i think he advocated SAM/DRG over SAM/WAR i remember. But pre ToAU SAM was at least better than DRG because lolpentathrust was pretty weak and so was wheeling thrust compared to SA Gekko/kasha. Toau SAM only suffered in merit parties but a goo sam with a polearm did pretty well too(being able to /war and have overwhelm meant often their penta thrusts did almost as much if not more than drakesbanes with berserk up) and hagun+gekko was still pretty damn good in merit parties(pre Toau). Also in anyssea, Fudo was crazy powerful, and i remember SAM doing 8k+ Jinpus.

SAM was honestly highly overrated until recently. A resolution drk would crush a normal sam, etc. SAMs benefit was being able to do high dmg ws in low atk situations.

Figured shoha was a pretty solid ws and they get ridoculous DA values with hassoznshin and 20% wsd. Figured their ws danage was higher than reso except when souleater was active.

Hasso zanshin DA cannot proc on WSs if that's what you're saying. If that's not what you're saying then carry on~

After a few minutes of looking at it, the key seems simple, and if I'm correct it's based on the letters at the top and on the left side. Let's start with AoWv. Look at the left, and A is the top row besides the lower-case. Now look at the uppermost row and note the o. It is the fifth letter, so I assume Ao = E. This would make Wv = T, but from there it gets more tricky, since we have a lot of blank spaces. All of the blurbs do match up with a pairing, so...

Now, for the blanks; I think it is the missing letters of the alphabet, in order. Two dashes = 1 letter. Gives you six letters per row except the last, so makes sense. So if we look at that... I get E T R N Q V F R, which is strange. Perhaps it's some kind of scrambled message... and it likely has something to do with the last row. Now, we know there are two more gaps unaccounted for; right after "Z" would leave an odd number which throws off my 2-per-letter theory, but it's possible that there's punctuation or something, idk. And then after "We" we have enough space for six letters. So that's where the mystery continues, as well as the use for the scrambled letters. Is there any further information that goes with the quest?
Slight bump to this. Lomloon dropped a hint to it on the JP forums, if anyone could get a better idea of what they're saying. I'd imagine Google rapes whatever specific meaning there is to what they're saying.

    Post is here.

    Googled~

It is a point of mystery in Lara water, but it is if you enter the correct keyword will occur. I am happy if you can continue the challenge. But this keyword, ...... seems difficult equivalent I think because it is enough to have leaked the person in charge is difficult, and want to give a little hint in the folding.

Rather than the correct answer only solved the encryption appearing in the quest, you can string some When a twist from there.
In addition, it must be carried out in all capital letters input string.

All in caps, what a fantastic way to take a string. That's some pro programming.
I'm happy to spend a few goes trying some capitalized strings, but the run is such a pain. Anyone else want to give it a shot?

I tried a few things like Altana but not in all caps. I wonder if it's one or more words and are there spaces. >.<

Ah, it won't let you add spaces, numbers etc. You can only use 16 letters max.

    PEACEKEEPERS no
    THEPEACEKEEPERS no
    ALTANA no
    ORDEROFVOCANE no
    GRATZIGG no

any other ideas and i'll try them. I have a few others but it's really boring to run there :D

I was sure I read in the patch notes that there's a new NPC that accepts Bayld equipment and will trade you back a part of their original bayld cost.
Now I can't find the line anymore... did I dream it?

Fudo was a 3-4k WS in Abyssea, which is good but not really off the chain for that place. Also, 8k Jinpu is basically a screenshot build and was really only useful for building amber lights quickly.

Better than what DRK had, which was 2.5k-3k Torcleaver until Resolution came out (aka 90% of abyssea)!

The only thing that kept people from using this or that job in abyssea was procs, not because any job was stronger or whatever. MNK WAR NIN WHM BRD BLM and maybe BLU were all you needed to do anything in abyssea and cover all procs because no one bothered to try for blue outside of blunt times.

Well in abyssea it didn't matter. If you weren't a proccer you weren't really useful. And if you didn't have a crit ws you were being outdone by thfs

Also I liked proccing during piercing just cause it allowed my solo brewing easy. Think it was 12/15 piercing and the ability to search for procs forever since I could one shot and th. Bring a thf along for the rest and real th.

But no one would do slashing cause that was way too gross to try.
