Main thing I enjoyed was Cosmo's deadpan and concise delivery of his answers to couch guy. Couch guy was still annoying none the less to me.
I don't know how you can follow twitch chat when it runs at 50 lines a second.

The repetitive nature simplifies following chat, I believe. I scan past the redundant commentary and quick-read anything that stands out. Inevitably, I miss things, but it isn't too bad, especially when restrictions are enacted. You could also notice the mods modding when someone's huge ASCII copy-paste suddenly became "<message deleted>", followed by greatly offended individuals making burner accounts to come ask why they were banned. Then, there were a few rage-quitters who complained about the moderating before "making a stand" and signing off of Twitch chat in protest. This all happened before the sub-10 minute Skyward Sword run, where the person conducting that—obviously aware of how Twitch chat had been shitty and whiny throughout the preceding run—was a sarcastic asshole the entire time, not explaining a thing before suddenly laying it on thick at the end. It was absolutely hysterical.
Yeah, that 10-minute run was amazing. I loved when he pulled out the net and fucked with Fake!Ganonderp.
Regardless of the quality of the play... this Bubble Bobble run is supremely entertaining 'cause these guys are awesome.
EDIT: 1cc, woop
Chat was so mad that they were having fun, I was laughing my ass off at all the awful puns and jabs at eachother.
I haven't seen twitch chat the entire time this thing has been going.
Livestreamer master race.
Metal Wolf Chaos is the best game ever.
Holy shit such hype.
This is easily the best part of SGDQ2014, no contest.
Megaman 3 was my highlight, personally.
I did, however, enjoy the derp vs. White Knight chat fight during Banana's Zelda run, and the subsequent war during the Skyward sword run. It would be interesting if the media picked up on the AGDQ/SGDQ simply from the standpoint of livestream chat trolls "ruining" a good thing.
Honestly, if anyone let twitch chat ruin anything... they are absolute idiots.
As I've said before, I haven't even looked twitch chat at all. Its not necessary.
them glitching through the entire play through of Metroid Prime 2 is amusing
Has to be a complete bitch coming up with an optimal route using out-of-bound glitches in a game like this. And god damn, Prime 2 holds up really well visually.
Anyone know what constitutes a 100% run for FFVI btw? Given the estimated time, I'm assuming all chests, espers, characters, side-quests, but probably not 99ing everyone since that'll be a bore to watch.
FF6 100% run is All Characters All Espers. 6 hour-ish run. Fun to watch especially WoR.
I'm assuming SNES version for the xzone abuse and other beneficial bugs. Should be a good time.
Fusion race should be pretty good, aside from the forced story bits, along with the Mario 3 run in a few hours.
This is making me want to replay Fusion for the fifth time. Such a great fucking game. Wouldn't mind trying a 1% run, just not at their speed.
Good race, deaths and all.
Ugh, need to get that 120 star run for Mario 64 D: But sadly looking like most we'll get is 70 stars.![]()
