If you think they can't play well with each other you need to watch more basketball. He's a definite upgrade from boozer.

Aside from skill he's also there to be a mentor to mirotic.

If he's gonna play the 4, then I would agree he is an upgrade compared to Boozer. But Gasol is a center, not a forward. Yes, he's played forward all these years, especially with Bynum.

But what 4 is he guarding on that end? West will push him around, Horford and Millsap will pull him away from the rim, Bosh is quicker.

I'd almost rather have Pau as the backup to Noah, and let Taj and Mirotic split the PF minutes. Let Butler and Dunleavy split the SF, and Mcdermott and Snell split the SG minutes. That leaves Rose and.......whoops, no one really to take the PG minutes.

That's a solid rotation not accounting for the complete lack of depth at PG, and the added benefits of having Pau there to help Mirotic get settled can't be oversold.

Just for Pau, I would have loved to see him on the Thunder. With him as their starting C, I think that makes that team better. It would have been great. Glad to have him on the Bulls though.

i think if you have to nitpick pau you need to check out his body of work. when you have stretch skills as a big you can fit with pretty much anyone offensively. defensively it's tougher cause mobile PF's will abuse the hell out of you on the P/R but any deficiencies will be covered up by A. noah and B. thibodeau's system.

pretty solid get by the bulls.

Pau's verbal flopping will fit in well in Chicago. Once Rose breaks himself as usual, Pau will be the 1st option offensively. I do worry about Pau's softness vs Thibodaux's tough defensive mindset

Andrew Wiggins will get the opportunity to begin his NBA career alongside LeBron James, according to Cleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt.

Blatt refuted speculation that the Cavaliers could part with Wiggins in a potential deal to land Kevin Love, telling reporters that he is unaware of any plans to trade the No. 1 overall pick.

So, I have a question -- given that Love has said that he will not resign with Minnesota next year, why would anyone give up anything useful to sign him? And especially in the case of the Cavs, you know you have a young team, you're not under pressure to win it all next year, why not just talk to him now and wait till next year to sign him when he's a free agent.

Because he may agree to a sign and trade to the Bulls or something instead.

Plus you can't talk to him or his agent while he is signed to another team without the permission of that team. And in the case of the Cavs, they can trade for him and stay above the cap. However, if they try to sign him next year in Free agency and don't have max space, they can't offer him max $$$.

not the sexiest offseason but a 50 wins Mavs team that took San Antonion to a life and death 7 game series has made huge upgrades at center and small forward. be interesting to see if Dirk can stave off father time enough for them to make one last run at it

So with the new NBA TV deal in 2016, shouldn't we see a potential jump in team cap space? Makes me wonder if this is the real reason why LeBron only took a two year contract.

James signed a two-year, $42.1 million deal, sources familiar with the process told ESPN.com, with the goal of re-signing with the Cavs before the 2016-17 season when a new television deal is expected to create a large jump in value of the maximum contract.

As part of the deal, James will have an option to become a free agent next summer but is fully committed to the Cavs long term, sources said.
