Merchandising queue was appalling. We skipped it. They had one till.... peeps were waiting 2-5 hours. We said fuck that and did Odin and a,musical chairs Gilgamesh which was hilarious
The venue was great in general. Food and drink were reasonable prices.

Fuck you titan was best moment of fanfest for me. I was gutted got to merchandise room and stood there for 30 mins then they announce they are out of cactuars then tonberries. 4.5 hours in queue

Edit: haha skai saw me on the feed I guess. I didn't think it was for the live feed, thought it was regular press as the lady who interviewed didn't sound like she knew what was going on (she thought I beat it solo?) so I stuck to simple terms rather over complicating it

Took us 7 or 8 queues but queues were only 10 odd mins for me, god bless the merch queue for dragging everyone away

Few things I noticed
There were more little mini event type things. They had a light up bop it type thing, a bucking behemoth ride, some DoH thing I didn't try that involved makinv a mask or jewellery, some alchemist oil mixing thing I didn't do, one of those metal thing where you need to pass a ring around it without touching, as well as archery.
The Odin and primal lines were really tiny at the beginning of the day. I joined a group of 7 on drg and we wiped quickly twice then beat it. I am not used to drg, but i am pretty certain mechanics were ignored.
First primal was titan hard mode with one heal. Tank lost threat, everyone eats mountain buster, good times. We got kicked off. Lateri saw groups wiping multiple times so weird. They had some other weird rules including: mouse only garuda, walk only leviathan, musical chairs gilgamesh. I forget ifrit and ramuh.
also, we were on a live server (dont know which) in ULN for primals. I may have shouted a Nandi sighting.
I cowered from the merch line. It was scarier than a laggy TEX.
The q and a panel was meh. The CS panel was ok. DRK is hype as fuck. Bismark as a flying whale thing seems interesting. The models they showed for Bis and the bug dude were nice. I skipped the cosplay panel. That garuda from vegas set the bar too high.
as previously stated, Shiva song was really good live, got requested a second time. I think Soken was surprised because the crowd was split between Shiva and Titan 50/50.

The primal challenge was part of a chain of quests you gotta do to ultimately claim the Hildebrand fridge magnet

A Hildebrand player me and a buddy queued to get in with won 2nd I think his PIC was posted earier , I saw him before the closing ceremony and he told me he came 2nd, beaten by the choco

Edit: I believe diablos was the server. Someone shouted and I saw a reply, I was trying to buy an Odin carry lol

The only "mechanic" to Odin is when 3 Gungnir "adds" appear, everyone eats a DoT, and after X amount time a big AoE hits everyone for damage based on their remaining HP unless they are killed first. Other than that, silence one move, avoid the rest, burn down before Shin-Zetsuken. It should really be called the "Customize Your Interface/Controls in Five Minutes and Fight Without Macros Alongside Complete Amateurs Challenge."

We got Odin to 1% 5 attempts (3 queues) In a row. Was so gutting the 2nd last, we killed him as he killed us. I was playing with really bizarre and unnatural binds too as the mouse buttons didn't seem to be useable, some of my team were really struggling with controller toggling between bars not working etc. We were on Diabolos server for the fight. My team mate got pissed off with missing and for our winning try ported to limsa and bought a load of acc food and dex pots with the gil on the toon. It was a very very simple fight as blm easier than eg tam tara hm. Prob medium hard for stuns etc. Wtf do I know though never even killed an extreme mode primal so probably really piss easy.

Nearly shat myself first try though, the crew guy sat our smn down at blm pc and me down at drg pc. I nearly cried when I asked if we could change jobs from drg and he said no and walked off. Thankfully someone else noticed and pointed out Dragoon Eventj also had a smn set.

Was super great fun after escaping merch hell tbh
