Except it's Activision in this case.
Except it's Activision in this case.
I honestly don't know where to put this, but it needs to go somewhere. I just blazed with a ladyfriend whose last name is very close to "MacGyver," so the conversation eventually drifted to the old show, which led to Googling, which led to this:

I have wasted at least 20 minutes aimlessly reading various posts; it's just crazy to me that people are hardcore enough about that pretty average show to still be actively posting about it in 2015.
It's cool that online communities exist for things like shows that were ridiculously popular in their day, some 20 years later. But that banner is atrocious.
There is only so much you can do when a mullet gets involved.
Agreed.
Spoiler: show
I mean if you had bad taste then yah its atrocious
Are you seriously trying to tell me that's good graphic design?
He's saying it's glorious in a classic kind of way. You don't get much better than that sig for what it's supposed to be. Dude is even in the C creeping.
Would've been better if the banner were shaped like a mullet. An infinitely growing mullet as you scrolled down the page.
It's not a sig, it's the banner for the site. But that font is just ... I mean at least it's not Comic Sans. But I guess if they don't want to take themselves too seriously and they like it, then whatever. They're appealing to what I'd imagine is a niche group of people anyway.
Didn't realize it was the site banner. I scrolled back up to look at it again and saw the duct tape on the V. I love it even more now.
MacGuyver is only ~10 years older than FFXI.
Man, the banner is actually pretty true to the general theme / absurdity of the show. I think people forget how ridiculous MacGyver was haha:
well i mean, it's all at least somewhat plausible, though much of it would require absolute perfect conditions. (it said so on that website)
looks like he's just using the paperclip to close a circuit in a poorly designed dead-man switch booby trap. Toddlers need to be kept away from power outlets so they don't do exactly the same thing.
Richard Dean Anderson will always be Jack O'Neil to me.
oh, yeah, the dialogue is pretty lulz.

MacGyver mullet duct tape and paperclips 4lyf.
As long as you get your RDA of RDA, it doesn't matter what form it's in.
Tbh, i thought there was a Macgyver MMO coming out randomly.
