No we couldn't. Not realistically. Not with the current rocket fuel and cost of production / size restrictions. Hypothetically? Yes. Provided you had a ship the size of a country or so to accommodate the fuel needed to accelerate for long enough to get to even .9c. Also would never get anywhere near in human lifespan at the acceleration forces a human body can take.

The fastest a manned spacecraft has ever gone is 3.7 x 10^-5 c. The dv/dt needed to get to to ~.9c that a human could take would require a ridiculous burn time and fuel quantity that I am not calculating on my phone.

I love messing with science nerds, too. It is good to humble yourself on how limited these systems we have in place to explain anything beyond our imaginations. There's a Sagan quote somewhere to put that into better words, I think. I'm not an asshole though, so have some Friday random! :D
