So WP weapon parts can be desynthed too, not necessarily from the job that makes the weapon either. spearhead is bsm, grimoire binding was ltw, they seem to count like an i55 item except the pld sword is i45 because it already had an item level. Just synth those into aeolians to count as i55.

For the new i95 primal weapons you have to desynth the normal weapon to get one of the mats, but the regular weapons still cant be bought/sold so u have to farm them is this correct? Just remembered they released these and not at home to check.

1) The weapons that give you the specific demi-materia for that set of weapons are u/u, so you can only hold one, and you can't buy them. They have to be farmed.
2) The demi-materia obtained for that set of weapons is also untradable, so you have to get it all yourself. You can't buy them.
3) The i95 glowy weapons themselves are ALSO untradable, which means you can't make money off of it, and if you want one, you have to make it yourself.

In summary, these weapons cost a fuckton of time and energy and they're not even great weapons (because i95 weaps are a dime a dozen from Levi). They're technically better than raw Levi weapons since they can hold materia, but lets face it, this shit is basically for glamour only since getting an i100 weapon isn't even hard anymore (see: U.Tome drop in CT2).

I'm pretty sure the normal weapons can be sold now.

They are? I swear I saw them on MB. Not any actually listed mind you, but able to try on.

Also are people buying Clear demimateria (the one you can only sell for gil) just dumb?

The i60/70/75/80 primal/mog weapons are still untradeable, you must farm them. Then you desynth them and maybe get 1 or 3 demimateria of that type (vortex, inferno etc).

Then the rest you need is buyable but god damn @ prices right now. It varies but basically 3 finished myth mats (wolfram ingot, gold ingot etc, or 10 terminus putty), 10x battlecraft demi III's and a few other minor things.

So I got my mog demis from a pld weapon, and could make the sch i95 without ever having seen the sch book @ mog fight.

Ok so, you can use any weapon to try and desynth to get mats since there not weapon specific just primal specific. But YOU have to be able to desynth yourself as those mats are U/U? At least not having to farm for specific weapons is a plus.

After double-checking the actual lodestone page (rather than relying on xivdb like I was earlier), the demimog demimateria do not appear to be untradeable, so you should be able to buy them.

After my previous innacurate statement, however, I refuse to say anything with 100% certainty w/o actual in-game confirmation.

Yes, all the mats are buyable/tradeable.

So I just happened to notice that melds increase success rate on desynths.

Militia scythe with 1 meld shows me 79.50% success rate right now and same ilvl Militia pliers penta'd is 99.50%.

not sure if I want to meld and desynth ilvl 70 gear... don't have that much gil laying around...! O_o

currently farming i70 gear from instances, got like a 70%ish chance to desynth them.. 40-50% for i80 ;/

Militia scythe is i55. Been spamming a lot of the militia culinary knives now since they're just a darksteel nugget, spruce lumber, and a basilisk whetstone. So the main 2 mats farmable, even the same zone.
