A is a lot shorter than 3-4hrs, I've seen the A in Upper spawn so far twice within 2hrs of it being killed.

A's are 3-4 hours.
We've had them on approx timers and spawned for at least 4 rotations since maintenance, where we've found 90% of the A ranks.

They're just timers. The hunter scholars just give you a hint as to where they will spawn.
wut
spawn positon is random, S rank has conditions to be met to trigger spawn. its even stated in yoshi=p's letter etc
i have got a reliable JP site stating spawn conditions (some were confirmed) some werent
only thing we dont know is after a maint, what is the hours to wait for the next S opening, once it opens, which is prolly 2 hours ago according to above post, we can then test and find out
sure some seem random spawn but unless yoshida is bluffing about conditions, theres still stuffs to find out
Elite marks can appear in any area, with some of them appearing only when certain conditions are met. Add to that the fact that they won't always appear in the exact same spot.
