I used it the day it came out. I find it more convenient than trying to verify other people's thehunt sessions are accurate and then updating my personal spreadsheet accordingly. I hope this catches on and people won't troll the TODs so it can stay accurate.

I've been using it. I don't think people can troll the ToD's with this because if they fake a timer it just becomes "Local Data" and isn't used by the central cloud of information.

Nothing funky has happened on my end while running it. Source code is posted in the reddit thread as well so you can have a programmer buddy look it over if you're really nervous.

It's safe. Just make sure you get it from a legit location so nobody can recompile the source with something malicious in it.

Holy shit, this has to be a troll considering what food we use to make it pop. I guess they didn't pick the MOST expensive thing but I feel bad for people if this is what they're doing.

That was just my initial reaction considering how we used vendor mat food to pop it since the first week. Since I've heard of other people using the same food, I'm starting to think it can pop on the consumption of any food, better chance with HQ as I posed above.

I've never seen it spawn until 36 hours after maintenance, fwiw.

Does he not have a md5 hash up for it? If so just download and compare the hashes.

What ports does it use to sync data?

I don't know really any C# so how is it accomplishing reading from the game's chat logs? Does FFXIV save chat logs locally for it to read or is it snatching the data in transit?

S hunts are a waste of time until they fix the display issue. Got to two of them that were just pulled, I saw one of them for about 5% of the HP and one of them I didn't see it all. A third one I got to at about 50% health and saw it for about 5% of its health there too. Got 40 seals between them all. Glad I'm not one of the fools going out of my way to pop them instead of taking Bs and As that are up. Not that the A game is much better, the concept of waiting is long gone. People pull on sight while others wait until they run there for their <t> macro before informing their LSs, by which point the mob is half dead.

Did not know you could get a log with less than full credit. 2 logs in ~8 A kills; crazy luck after a long drought.

Now that you mention it, is it confirmed that mark logs are possible on Rank Bs and without full parties? I still seem to hear a lot of superstition regarding when and how mark logs are possible.

Just posting it here since this is a grey area atm, leader of one of my hunt LSs got GM jailed tonight:

Unfortunately, I have brought you here because you were found to be in violation of the User Agreement by intentionally disrupting the gameplay of others by resetting elite marks, and offering gil as a reward for doing so.

If you make an agreement with other players for services or items, including gil, not holding true to the terms of the agreement is also an actionable offense of the Terms of Service. This warning, however, is for the disruption of normal gameplay of other players by resetting hunt marks.

In addition, a player is free to initiate combat with an available enemy at any time, and a player acting in a manner that is intentionally disrupting the gameplay of other players is a violation of the User Agreement.

Was probably for offering 100k for resets, but still. The GM wrote it in such a way that makes it seem that resetting in general can be perceived as intentional disruption of gameplay, so watch out I guess. Personally I'll totally continue resetting erryday

Purposely resetting a mark is definitely a blatant ToS violation. This shouldn't be a surprise. Somewhere else on OF, SE even commented to that effect specifically about this situation.

Still more the common sense "if I'm fighting a mob and you fuck with it, that's griefing".
