Would be actually useful if it gathered location data, does it do that yet?

Safe to say that there are pre-defined spawn points and that all ranks share the same points?
So has anyone actually figured out the logic behind Garlok yet? Arrows is hogwash, weather has nothing to do with it, what gives? I've analyzed many, many kills and their Eorzea times and they do not make any sense based on weather changes, moon phases or anything like that either. Is it linked to FATEs?
also no sooner do we say our google doc on hyperion is fine does some asshole mess with it LOL. Think it might be a BG person mad or something? HAHA
Sounds like a good tool, but you're always going to struggle to get widespread use for something like that. What's the one thing everyone on the server generally has easy access to? Websites, they're the most easily accessible and least complicated platform for something like this. Not gonna get PS4/PS3 players using it, not going to get people worried about 3rd party apps using it, not going to get people like me using it, I don't see any reason to dick around with downloads and installations when I can just click on a webpage. It's my favorite tool, but not enough people in ragnarok uses it, so some times the times are incorrect. Also, it apparently doesn't read the kills where I'm present, as it only asked me for confirmation once (and I have confirmation activated for all A and S ranks). Still, I think this is the future of hunt tracking.
Going to propose a change of Safat spawn condition: chance to spawn in the hours after weather change into Blizzard after at least 62 hours have passed. Observed six different times now on Excalibur while nobody really was bothering with the falling to their death thing.
Yea we'll.....take that into consideration, thanks.
Possible that S ranks may have secondary pop conditions (that arent based on participation)?
Wait, are you saying you don't think that's a possibility? After having the 150 people on the Excalibur hunts Teamspeak server jump from tall places for hours upon hours and nothing happening, we stopped bothering with it and took note of that not bothering with it also spawned Safat. During Blizzards. After 62 hours.
I'm curious how you propose it's spawned? All the triggers I know work (including Bonnacon, Croque-Mitaine, Zona Seeker and Thousand-Cast Theda) *instantly* spawns the target in one of the many spawn locations. We checked by having at least one person sit on the spawn locations when we did the triggers. Never has happened with Safat.
Good luck getting an answer out of anyone. The best you're going to get is a handful of people who try it themselves and just so happens to post about it.
I for one am tired of being there for "spawn conditions" and have stuff show up hours later if not the next day. Only thing that ever seems to be consistent is Nandi on Hyperion.
Edit: and by consistent I mean dead before the 48 hour mark and/or at the first instance of weather/moon phase.
I've been +/- 3 minutes on Mindflayer spawn calculating it the day before. Due to the way his spawn, and Croak's work. They pop 2 moons after previous death (74 hours and 40 minutes) - granted no maintenance.
Their windows don't seem to be up on the next new/full moon (~37 hours 20 minutes), so it takes the second after death.
The next mindflayer should pop, on Gilgamesh at least, Saturday morning at 3am CDT.
Edit: my original math was based on 72 minute Eorzea day, it appears to be 70 minutes
Edit2: everything has been solved by excalibur. in excalibur we trust.
Resetting sort of clarified further, not kosher, basically:

lol
People trying to be decent and make the shitfest that is the hunt system more bearable?
Not in SE's MMO.
I dunno, their reasoning is perfectly rational. Pretty clear if you read the rest of the thread, the GM has made several posts to clarify it. The thing is, you might not be "being decent".
Anyway, dead horse, moving on.

Guy goes into detail on when windows starts and apparently is constantly tweaking window timers on S ranks. Was interesting to read for me, since I've only been doing hunts off and on and don't know the intricate shit surrounding it.
