I am bad at reading and woke up on the wrong foot in the morning. Apologies
Mindflayer down on Zalera.
Excalibur tried a theory that was brought to my attention in regards to Lampalagua and the Earthbound leve. After exactly 22 completion of Earthbound, Lampalagua spawned immediately. This is the second occurrence of this number of 22, so we're going to continue testing it going forward. Feel free to try the same and see if it yields results.
Going to both bring up and debunk myself re: Ferberite for Minhocao, which just popped on Excalibur with 20+ people mining it.
Window for Ferberite is 3am-6am. Just spawned at 05:09:39 Eorzea time on top of someone, spotted immediately.
Previous spawns, Eorzea time: 15:58:30, 22:40:44, 05:14:56, 13:08:13, 02:58:59, 13:53:47, 15:29:49, 03:01:37, 05:24:22, 04:52:18. No idea what's going on around 13-16 Eorzea in that zone, any ideas?
My thought is that its related to killing earth elementals. OR could be just mining in general. Most people mine during the ferberite window which is why it may pop often then. Other pop times may be due to miners just digging up cobalt or other items.
Just a few thoughts
Laideronnette spawned at 47 hours elapsed on Excalibur. Madness ensues. Timer reduced to 47h.
Same on Hyperion.
I think Laideronette was chilling in that cave for a bit loool
Garlok instapop after testing a theory about FATE "Just a Matter of Rut" outside of Garlok's lair since text mentions him "waking up" - so we made noise. Will continue to verify.
edit: noticed an error in my original post, Lampalagua says 58 hours when it's supposed to be 66. I see this thread has that too, so unless anyone has seen it at 58 (and I would love for this to be true), it should be changed to 66 as well.
Nunyunuwi is now at 87 hours on Brynhildr. I'm struggling to believe that it is anything FATE related, seeing as to how FATEs are constantly being killed by the lowbies and atma grinders. Have seen him pop as early as 50 hours, and other times he just takes longer than any other S rank.
99.9% Brynhildr has a smaller endgame scene, my 2 linkshells are responsible for literally every theda/zona/croque/bonnacon/minhacao and leads the server on all other S rank triggers/theory. Multiple hunters that are in my 2 linkshells also are in anywhere from 3 to 6 other hunt linkshells. There hasn't been a single S rank yet that has gone unnoticed by myself or my peoples since like the 2nd week of hunting.
67hr, 77hr, 92hr. Our last 3 spawns on Gilgamesh. One of the most active NA servers.
Ninety two fucking hours. If we consistently saw 46 hr pops I would consider that somehow, people silently killed it without our army knowing, but I'd still severely doubt it.
The fact that we don't consistently see short pops (48 is server record for him currently) it screams that we are missing something. Specifically with how the pops are indeed, consistently short on other servers.
I'm thinking that it is possibly related to the scaling of the FATEs in the zone, i.e. large-scale battle.
See if you can get a large group of people, 3+ parties, chaining FATEs to get the scaling up.
It really could be the earth crystal thing.
Since SE stated that the FATE CoreBlimey has nothing to do with pop conditions much fewer earth elementals are being killed, and hence why its taking so long to pop.
Spent 2 hours (Minhocao timer 61-63hr) theorizing different things with a few people and came up with the collecting earth crystals, which we started doing when shortly after core blimey came up and we took that chance to kill lots of sprites. Killed around 3 or 4 earth sprites, one dropping 2 crystals another dropping 1 and it popped on an FC mate standing at the spawn just N of CPP.
Not sure if it fits, but the JP translation makes it sound like the catalyst used in ceruleum processing is the key and this was theorized based on crystals being that catalyst.
earth crystals are worm food?
I can confirm that it is either obtaining earth crystals or killing earth sprites(which is the same thing basically). We have always popped Minhacao via the Core Blimey fate, however due to multiple times of the worm spawning mid fate, we have always known it had nothing to do with the actual fate, just the death of earth sprites. Ferberite theory was thoroughly tested and never with success.
Just down Safat. Was snowing(not blizzard) and Svara's fate series was up. Unless noone spotted it (right below the svara area) during the weather transition idk when it spawned. was definitely killed at 10:00ET. Can't say if anyone was trying to down hp for I guess im not contributing at all here lol
