Original charter of Herut (Menachem Begin's party), the predecessor to Likud, had a slogan calling for Israeli sovereignty over 'both banks of the Jordan River'.

Herut differentiated itself by refusing to recognise the legitimacy of the Kingdom of Jordan after the armistice, and frequently used the slogan "Two banks of the Jordan River" in claiming Israel's right to the whole of Eretz Israel/Palestine.

There's been several, publicized cases of antisemitic hoaxes carried out by Jewish people or Jewish organizations in the past 6+ months (ie against the backdrop of the current Israel-Hamas 'war').

The media, with some exceptions, has not discussed this in the context of the campus protests. The protests have been largely peaceful:

From listening to a quick behind the scenes with Chapo podcast, they spoke to someone who worked as a communications director for a few of the colleges and he spoke about how some colleges don't have a definition of "antisemitism" which lets them basically call anything they want out and the media gulps it out and reports it. You have rabbi denouncing the zionism but the media will just glance over them to point at someone else saying the exact same thing and label them a jew hater....then later on they realize that person was actually a jew but never redact their story.

And while I mostly knew it, was more enlightening to just hear from a source that college boards are run like companies and made up of people from major businesses who have a direct desire to influence education and the status quo. Asking some of these places to "divest" from anything related to Israel is like asking McDonalds to stop making hamburgers. They are so heavily involved in it that they think you're insane to even suggest it.

The UN did NOT 'lower' their overall death tolls.

They simply clarified which proportion of deaths have been identified by name and other demographic information.

Notice how the OVERALL death toll has gone up by 200? And how there's roughly 10k-11k unidentified?

The UN press sec. clarified this as well and Reuters has picked up on it too.

Pro-Israel commentators on Twitter are desperately and intentionally misreading this adjustment to conclude the UN 'halved' their data. Completely false.
