how's winning the war going for Israel so far

casual observers often mistake the fundamental nature of war and get lost in blood and bodies and bombs, see people giving respect to Israel's assassination on this page, losing the basic maxim of war being the pursuit of politics by other means. the goal of war is not to kill, killing is the means to the end. and if Israel thinks they can discourage Lebanese or Iranian action against them with these strikes they are i think woefully mistaken. if anything it will escalate actions against them, broadening a conflict they would be best served keeping as localized as possible (from a purely amoral realpolitik perspective).
