Ah yes just in time for the election
Ah yes just in time for the election
lol waiting till after election instead of just doing it now....#why
Because the USA considers the political weight of the decision or lack thereof to be significantly more important to their interests than the lives affected in the region.
So I guess it's over now.

The attacks they allowed to happen lol
Well, that may legitimately wrap it up. Hezbollah is decapitated and Hamas' militant leadership is largely gone. If the war continues at this point, it will either be for lack of anyone to negotiate with or because Bibi made a move on Iran.

There been a not insignificant number of UNRWA workers who have been members of Hamas.

It's not good but I absolutely understand Israel's reasoning on this one.
oh the Israeli military said it
They already were made aware of this, and addressed it quickly, then they asked for follow up from Israel, and predictably Israel did not reply. Wonder why they wouldn't respond, especially if they got what they wanted the first time they brought it up...The agency, UNRWA, has been accused by Israel of having many employees who double as members of Hamas and other armed groups. The U.N., after an investigation, said in August that nine UNRWA staff were possibly involved in the Oct. 7 attacks and fired them.
The Israeli military said Mohammad Abu Itiwi was killed on Wednesday. It said he was a Hamas commander and had been involved in the murder and abduction of Israeli civilians. It also said he had been employed by UNRWA since July 2022 and that his name appeared on a list of the agency's employees.
UNRWA confirmed Itiwi was a staff member and was killed on Wednesday. It said Itiwi's name was included in a letter UNRWA received from Israel in July that included a list of 100 staff members who were also allegedly members of armed groups, including Hamas.
"The UNRWA commissioner general responded to that letter immediately stating that any allegation is taken seriously. He urged (the government of Israel) to cooperate with the agency by providing more information so he could take action. To date, UNRWA has not received any response to that letter," said Juliette Touma, UNRWA's director of communications
I don't actually have to wonder; I already know many truly believe Palestinians=Hamas and will use that to justify actions like this. They just won't stop; there is no goal they could reach that would make them stop killing innocent Palestinians. The death and pressure on their survival is the point.
