I think it's hard to both-sides this when it took months to accomplish something they've spent centuries trying to do.

Both sides kept this in check for generations. A Kleptocracy rises in the west that has the foreign diplomacy experience of my newborn, and all of a sudden, Israel is paving Gaza.

i wouldn't say that... even 22 years ago israeli's were bulldozing american activists and making "rachel corrie" pancakes afterwards to mock her being flattened to death. i don't remember how long ago i went to israel, maybe 10 yrs ago now but even then they described non jews as animals and would spit on the evangelicals that went there to see holy sites and support "god's chosen people". what's happening now is just a fast-forward on what they had already been doing systematically since their inception. i remember reading in 2013 about how they were forcible sterilizing ethiopian women and other undesirables under the guise of mandatory inoculations and thinking about how comically evil it seemed at the time.

being in israel even just for a week brought me such clarity in regards to every single negative thing spoken about zionists being more than true.

i agree, but i am also hesistant to say the current genocide would have been verrrrry different under harris. though i am basing this solely on how it took until very very very recently for **some** EU countries to condem what israel is doing with many still looking the other way or even arresting nonviolent protestors against genocide like the UK is doing. i dont know what the media landscape looks like currently in the US but back when Iran was striking them it seemed like many americans still supported israel and were willfully ignorant to any of its wrongdoings blaming for any starvation(not that any starvation even existed in their opinion) Trump is def the most buddybuddy with israel not counting Ursula von der leyen who still to this day as far as i know says that the EU aligns with israeli values as the president of the european commission
