TBH I’m kinda with Gred on his FFXIV take, it was fundamentally designed as a competitive game simply by having NM’s and HNM’s be a thing, if you couldn’t handle the stress than maybe that content wasn’t for you. Same way that not every player in FFXIV is going to be running Savage or Ultimate fights

No one really had a problem with hard mobs in this context. It was the RL timers linked to them that made them problematic. It was never a skill check no matter how much Gred may want to argue you didn't need bots to compete.

My mom was absolutely gobsmacked that a teenage boy would willingly get up at like 6am for anything at all, much less that, even much less in the summer lol

I remember me and Tyrath were getting up at 5-6am for Einherjar for months on weekends too
