Zero. Staging soldiers or weapons so that civilians are harmed during military actions is pretty unacceptable too, and also a war crime iirc.

I don't know the proper military response when you suspect someone of doing that though. There doesn't seem to be a great answer.

I am aware of the "if the shoe were on the other foot argument" and all but it isn't, and reality is that Israel has Hamas absurdly outgunned and shows 0 hesitancy bombing civilians in retaliation for Hamas's largely ineffectual attacks. Which Hamas counts on and uses because it just makes Palestinians more likely to back them.

Xno calling Palestine an open-air prison was the best description I've heard.

No effort to explain why it isn't actually apartheid like S. Africa was or segregated like pre-civil rights America was - just "stop talking about it, stop drawing parallels or contrasts, turn your brain off and look away."
