Yesterday, the Israelis conducted a raid in the West Bank that lead to the death of nine Palestinians.

The Israeli military on Thursday carried out its deadliest operation in the occupied West Bank in years, killing at least nine Palestinians, including a woman in her 60s, according to Palestinian officials.

An Israeli military spokesman said troops raided a home in the Jenin refugee camp to apprehend Islamic Jihad militants planning an imminent attack in Israel, and that the soldiers came under fire. The spokesman said at least six of those killed were armed men — including some who opened fire at troops and others who had tried to flee.

Palestinian social media users shared photos of a Palestinian dairy truck which they said Israeli undercover troops used to enter Jenin on Thursday morning without drawing attention.

In response, Hamas fired two rockets into Israel, which in turn Israel responded with airstrikes against sites in the Gaza Strip.

Today, a Palestinian committed a mass shooting at a synagogue in Jerusalem leaving seven dead and three injured.

Israeli media report Jewish worshipers had finished Friday night Sabbath prayers and were outside the synagogue when the gunman, identified by police as a 21-year-old man from East Jerusalem, opened fire. Police say the gunman drove away and police stopped him, and he opened fire on police officers, who shot and killed him.
