Yup, I can't find the quote referenced in the tweet. However this is the internet and a forum so fuck you, i'll never back down also you're Hitler!
it's not funny because thousands and thousands of people are about to die but it is funny Israel still thinks in terms of 'knockout blow'. as this weekend showed, no military response, no matter how severe, has impeded Hamas's ability to hurt them. they starve the Pallies, imprison them, blockade their ports, choke off economic development, kill a few hundred to a few thousand yearly, exist themselves in an unending garrison state, and Hamas just hit them harder than they have ever been hit before.
honestly Israel just genocide them all already if you want to go the tried and true permanent security route. elsewise you have decades of evidence showing no matter how severely you apply your force it hasn't made you any safer. it has, in fact, made you less safe.
Is a complete Israeli takeover of Gaza logistically possible?
Like not just the current blockade that turns it into the "open air prison" under Israel's indirect control, but a full-outright occupation with the goal of annexation that would drive Hamas out, or at the very least underground?
At this point that seems preferable as a humanitarian method of saving lives. Israel takes on the burden of colonialism and governance, Palestinians lose sovereignty, but you give Hamas nowhere to go.
No one in the middle east sees this as anything but forced takeover.
if israel can assassinate hamas' entire leadership group that are in the gaza; yahya sinwar, issam al-da’alis, marwan issa, and mohammed deif, maybe israel can surgically remove hamas' influence within the gaza without fully turning the entire populous against them
the more likely scenario is that cutting a populous of 2 million off from food, water, electricity, and daily bombings just makes more hamas soldiers
The only way to actually deal with any kind of situation like this is genocide and that's why no even remotely sane government will ever do it.
Almost every time somebody historically has taken over another country for any major significant length of time did so by outright exterminating the population. Only difference between then and now is that people pretend to care more.

Supposedly the IDF has been building up in the north for days in preparation for this exact thing
But still

terrible stuff, Hezbollah is exponentially more powerful than Hamas and traded fairly evenly with Israel during their last war. full-scale war between them would badly spike the casualty count.
hezbollah is the real deal. shits about to get real
Never thought about referring to Israel as "Occupied Palestine" but makes sense I guess (if you hate the Jews)
its all about point of view lol
Time to send in Wonder Woman to rape everybody.
The paratroopers on gliders is so fucking wild, it’s like something you would see in wacky races or dropping off the bus in Fortnite
