Al-Jazeera has a reporter on the scene. The journalist convoy was miles away from the fighting as fires can be seen far in the distance where the battle is taking place. Israel knew about the location of the journalists as all the vehicles were clearly marked as international press.

I don't think I could fold up an oversized piece of printed paper, put it in my pocket, and walk across the room and have it look that good still. Someone was really proud of their work and didn't want to even fold and unfold it a few times or rub a little dirt and dust on it to make it look convincing.
