I don't remember which episode it was, but we got a brief glimpse of how powerful and fast the three ancients are when they showed a scene of them feeding on a human sacrifice.

Briefcase was a bomb, and it wasn't the only one creepy german man planted.

we've seen the ancients feed but they just shot their tongues out, didn't reap dudes and send them flying.
pretty poor security tho, how eichorst and his army could just walk in like that un announced.

When the Master is using Bolivar's body as a host, he starts to "groom" Zach to be his next vessel up until Zach gets rescued/escaped/reunited with Eph. So in theory, Zach would have been the next Master.
