is there any list of what dungeons are good to farm for certain things? ie different tier of orbs/gear?

4* Wind Mobliz elite
4* Dark Phantom Train Elite
4* Earth, Either Daryll's tomb elite, FFX killika Island Elite and FFIV Mist Cave elite<

Is it possible to use the retaliate trick when you are trying to focus certain mobs? Like if you wanna leave 1 minion up so they won't respawn? Can you make retaliate not hit that minion?

Ok now I can't beat the elite locke event with that fire orb that spawns the bombs. Do I just need to somehow hone blizzara strike or is this a gear check of some sort =/

Woah, that is a big update. Pretty awesome stuff coming, did the HP bar come with this update for the JP version (I didn't see it mentioned when I briefly looked over the announcement)? That's one QoL adjustment I REALLY want.

Is it possible to use the retaliate trick when you are trying to focus certain mobs? Like if you wanna leave 1 minion up so they won't respawn? Can you make retaliate not hit that minion?

Auto attack and retaliate always targets the mob with the lowest HP percent, so for say the bombs in fire eater boss fight, don't use any AoE, hit the boss and 2 bombs so retaliate will kill bombs then boss.

To my knowledge, retaliate goes off of remaining HP%. Make sure you hit whatever you're trying to focus once or twice with something and then go on a retaliate spree. Of course you could always try your luck and have it select at random.

You can't use ice on the elite boss.

Trick I did was S/L until i could land intimidate before he summon the bombs) then wacked away with other spells then ice

So Ultima Weapon on Elite really does suck, first time I've had something legitimately wipe my party in a long time... fuck meteor lol. Really need some intimidate luck to not get rekt. I thought I S/L'd fast enough to be able to start at Ultima Weapon fresh again, but apparently not since when I hit OK it just shows my party wiped. Luckily, cancel still works though so you save yourself the stamina of the first two fights.

Damn my Terra and Locke are still around level 35. Am I gonna be fucked in the higher elites without leveling them up?

I have Terra I'll have to see if she's actually stronger than my Rydia. Even w/ the extra 10 levels, I don't have any thing that comes close to comparing to Rydia's ice whip+

Well, all mastered besides Phoenix Cave (Elite) now... time to do that when I get stamina.

It only lasts about 20s; the time I actually beat Ultima Weapon (Elite) I went 0/4 on Intimidates z.z, but I got lucky that it didn't spam Meteor.

30ish. Depends a bit on what you him for too; I'm mostly using him as a Boost bitch. Someone cleared Phoenix Caves Elite with Locke 33 so around there is fine.
