I just wouldn't rely on him for damage, but Poison is going to be your main source of damage on Phoenix Cave anyway. I'm about to drag L30 Locke into Phoenix Cave and try to clear so we'll see in a couple of hours when I get stam
You're going to lose 4 medals on Ultima no matter what you do really. That means you can only lose 1 medal on the previous 2 stages; just S/L and clear 2/3 waves of each with Quake while taking minimal damage and you'll be fine.
Once he's above 40, he will theoretically have 50+ stats, so anything above that is fine. Obviously, the higher the better. But one of the benefits is if you can time his level up mid-runs, he'll refresh abilities for you.
Not a big fan of Locke but he is much better then TEEDUS imo and not alot of people can do the Intimedate + busters
Oh shit, just failed to master my first one. Thamasa. I guess it's time to start putting in all my big guns.
So who was the one on this thread who pulled Sentinel Grim? Might as well get their friend code to give them the 200g bonus per use instead of a rando.
Dio Think i can master Ultima with this?
Here is a resume of what they have PS Lenna's body I changed it after the picture
Lenna Judgement Staff 20/20, White Robe 15/15, Angel Ring : Curaga Max, Protectga 1/5
Sephiroth : Swordbreaker 15/15, Mythril Mail ++ 20/20 Hyper Wrist : Armor Break 2/5, double cut 3/5
Terra : Gravity Rod 15/15, Royal Crown + 20/20, Angel Wings : Thundaja 2/5 Quake 2/5
Locke : Greatsword ++ 15/15, Crystal Shield 15/15, Hyper Wrist : Boost 3/5 Intimidate 2/5
Cloud : Maneater + 25/20, Diamond Armor 15/15, Hyper Wrist : Double cut 3/5, Metal Break 2/5
I didnt equip Gaia Vest on Terra, because i prefer higher MAG on boss then on trash
You'll probably want a Magic Break so Meteor doesn't do 3k+ to everyone (goes to ~1.5k each) and I went with cura instead of Protectga, but depending on how often intimidate sticks, you wouldn't need that second cure.
Otherwise, just use 2 Quakes on each Stage 1 and 2 (You'll probably want to S/L enough so that you have an early cast of Quake starting preferably before the mobs get both attacks off) and as long as you get 9/9 medals on both, you'll be fine. I just got 9/9 medals on S1 + S2 in Phoenix Cave doing this (although there's 4 waves instead of 3), so I should've brought ice abilities and ignored that condition as well. Oh well, hopefully I'll kill it anyway.
Shouldn't matter with Sent. Grim though, right?
Meteor? I don't remember him doing it, are you talking about flare star?
Had to use 3 of my 4 quakes on the first stage of floating continent
The rest will be fun
Why did you have to? I'm guessing this is where S/L comes in; sometimes it takes a bit to get the right conditions. You should be able to 2 shot most mobs though or get them to counter self-destruct (which is okay if you take enough HP off them. I used this to help me out with when I should/shouldn't Quake:
http://www.reddit.com/r/FFRecordKeep...ost_stats_for/
3x grenades X2 and 2x the 2 dinozaurs
Grenades dont Selfdestruct guess i could S/L them on 2nd run
They definitely can counter melee swings with self-destruct; had it happen multiple times and made the 2x Grenade + Alligator/Dinosaur looking thing combo a little easier if I got stuck with it where I couldn't afford to use quake. I just S/L'd a lot if the individual round didn't play out quite right; it's kind of important for some of these.
Yeah but I dont wanna restart round one, so i'll risk it on round 2
I think I avoided using Quake on R1 entirely, although I did use one thundaga on a Spitefire that loaded in R1 because it just has wayyyy too much HP. As far as not restarting R1s, you might have to honestly and I certainly did when I ended up taking way over 2K. My rule is basically if there's 2 mobs, you should only be taking 1 attack max from them. If there's 3 mobs, obviously you'd prefer to Quake them down with as few attacks as possible (1 is acceptable, 2 is eh depending on how hard they hit for/if one misses)
