Is there any use for all the shitty rank 1 abilities that I keep getting from events or creating for quest rewards or should I just sell them off?

I really wish you could break down the extra abilities. Even getting back 1/5 of the items used would be nice. Selling them for pennies is bleh.

I'm gonna do as much of the ffx event as I can today. Tomorrow is another power orb day, and if this gold fest thing is worth anything at all, it'll likely be no1 priority while it's out.

Well, my first ever 50 mythril pull did not disappoint in being a disappointment. 2x4 star and rest is 3 star.

Tried to do level 99 amarant elite fight.

Cast protect on him, no effect, he countered and slapped Lenna to the ground.

Best 20 stamina ever.

I love eiko, and that aoe heal plus haste sb is awesome. Bye bye lenna!

Need to go level my summoner to 50 and get his rm, and eiko to 50 as well.

With eiko +smn rm, and hope with quake+ruinga and BLM rm, I'll be able to clear 3 waves of trash without using up any of the ability points. :D

Now if only I could find a black mage to replace hope.

Fyi, be mindful of honing quake.

Idk when we get it, but ruinga is a much superior aoe, and is easier to make. It's non elemental, so it works on everything, and it has a higher multiplier. (3.9 vs 3.67 on earth neutral.)

5 black, 3 holy, 3 dark. (4 stars)

So it trades the earth for holy. Curaja is a rather worthless spell currently, and protectga uses white and earth only.

Just FYI, so you don't have yourself when you have a useless r2+ quake that wasted a ton of greater earths that could have been better used elsewhere.

It's still useful to have for Earth weaknesses, but I wouldn't hone it...

Hopefully we get ruinga soon!

Edit: it just came out last month during the hope and vanille event lol, so not for quite a while. I guess quake is still worth honing, but I figured I'd throw this out there.

Sad I can't really push too far past Chocobo Eater in elite due to my level/gear. Also kind feel like I'm in that awkward phase where Normal isn't rewarding enough, but Hard is still out of the question. Will still be spamming orbs for the next 12 hours or so since I figure what money I built up should hold me until next gold run. Also at 59 stamina, so can't decide if I should maybe try to progress more in VIII or not. I've gained some levels and such since then, but I'm not entirely confident on mastery potential. Fucking dinosaurs scared me good with their AoE.

Try using a Sent. Grim friend summon on hard modes. If you use it at the start of 2 of the battles, it should last you the entire 3 rounds which means you only need to do 1 battle (with 3 rounds) without 60% damage reduction.
