Grenaldo EX farming isn't even fair. Just ran it 4 times and have 5 greater orbs to show for it. Gonna be farming this til the event ends I think

From the boss rush in FF8, it didn't seem that good to me. I did three of them and only got one greater ice orb.

It's definitely a good place to farm greater orbs; I believe it drops like 4 different varieties.

Is the boss rush really that tough or are people just not using VIT0 on it? I'm about to give it a whirl and planned on burning a mythril to reset halfway through. If it's like the FFX event, I only bothered with VIT0 on the last two bosses anyway.

It drops wind, Dark, power and non-elemental. Can drop multiple at once. My best run it dropped 4* power, wind and non-elemental with a 3* dark orb.

Just did a few more with only a 4* power and a bunch of 3* orbs. Still gonna farm this though.

If you are going to use that then no it isn't hard. Can just VIT0 the archasaur and Norg and win pretty easily.

It's a challenge without VIT0; VIT0 tends to make anything a joke. Tidus boss rush was still probably harder than it though.

I keep getting my shit pushed in on Oilboyle; I can't even get VIT0 up and running without losing at least one person. The pricks keep getting lucky criticals that do 3500 damage to people. WTF

Yay mastered this boss rush fairly easily. Though T-rex sucked ass. Had to leave and come back because I couldn't keep him intimidated long enough to deal 90k damage without ice shit (a lot of the strats just focused on fire for the third boss).

Once I came back with r3 blizaga, only had to keep him intimidated for 6-7 turns. Rydia was dropping blizagas for 9999 and the rest of the group just had to make up the other 30k damage.

Lost 3 medals over all. No mythril. Am happy

I had to leave and come back again for Palum Pt. 2 at the final boss because I used too many abilities for the first boss RIP 53 Stamina.

People who have done the boss rush, about what exp are you getting for the fights? Trying to get my team to level up after t-Rex when I try the run and time it right. Figuring a decent bet is 6k per fight, so get my guys around 2k tnl?

On a side note, up to 110 1/5 stamina, gonna try to get 1-2 more fights done today. 3x ff12 battles and palum pt2, not looking forward to palum.

Btw, thresholds for level ups after 3rd stage of boss rush are 2400+ for non VIII chars and 3600+ for Squall/Rinoa/Irvine.

Mythril: pretty much just save it for 11 relic draw?

Any other way to get relics? Eventual (rare) loot drop from harder dungeons?

Benefits to accepting friend requests aside from use of character? Do you get exp? I mashed through most of the tutorial
