Sweet, I'll give it a whirl. I was really only using Wakka because I figured the 9999 dmg from each summon combined with the debuff would be nice. Should I pop Carby at the start then after I finish Anima instead as well?

Carby to start to battle and then again as Anima goes down.

The 9999 damage can help, sure, but I think the issue you're having is the time constraint before Anima blows everyone up, correct?

If you're ever having trouble with people dying, Sentinel Grimoire is your go-to RW atm; I could've not brought a single cure at all on the run I won (or a Kirin) because of Carby x2, SG, and Magic Break (not even breakdown). With your setup, I would've swapped kirin to curaga because Carbuncle would've worn off before Anima started. You probably would've been fine if you did that.

Seeing the orb exchange excites me, especially if previous tier can upgrade to next. Though, I guess I'd also hope for the ability to change less useful types to another. Like, I'm swimming in 3 star Earth Orbs, but not much uses them. Otherwise sad we won't see that stuff for a while on our end.

That said, short of them releasing new dungeons and basically being done with what's out, is there a list of the best places to farm specific 4-star orbs outside of their corresponding events? Only other real activity I have to do is level people and unlock RMs.

Going to attempt Seymour right before the event ends. Plan is (one cast) Carby, mental break Seymour, mass regen and just wail on him right? Hope I don't get rocked with Break? Will carby last the whole fight (with my borderline squad) or no?

You should have 2 carby charges. Need to recast after Anima.

Anima will wreck you with Oblivion in like 8 turns so it's a fight against time. But if you don't have reflect up again for Seymour part 2 your team will also start getting wrecked by all his spells. Might be tough for a mediocre group.

Palumpolum 2. Tried it the other night, but I just didn't have enough DPS before running out of abilities. That and the fact a lot of its attacks seem to be HP halvers or ignore defensive buffs in some manner.

Yeah, Seymour and Mortibody, Highbridge Elite event.

Just cleared the trash rounds (burning all my abilities lol) - going to pop a mythril and give Seymour a try in 45 mins when I get enough stamina.
