Oops lol
So I got my first 4* weapon and its a hammer... Are there any non-MC characters that can use hammer?
whaaaaaaaaaaat? this is amazing, thank you!
also, I'm struggling to get into this game like you guys have. I enjoy it well enough, but the gameplay is just so meh. it's slow and laggy at times, the framerate issues are mind-boggling for something with such low-end graphics, and the gamepaly itself is just... eh. not that much going on.
it's like PAD but with gameplay that is far less involving. the nostalgia factor keeps me coming back on occasion but that's about it.
just my thoughts.
Playing this has caused me to get an emulator and play old ff games on my phone.
absolutely loving this game. i think Square Enix has been rather clever with approaching mobile gaming and targeting each mobile genre they can find.
We can ignore FFATB, which was less of a game and more of just an app that encourages you to clean your screen. It did give us a tastes of some 3D to 2D ff sprites tho.
Pictlogica was probably FF's answer to mobile puzzle-RPGs like PAD, battle camp and tetris monster.. but the biggest problem i see is that they chose to use Picross as the puzzle element and 5x5 picross gets boring really fast. While the gameplay does get harder, theres essentially very little that you get to do strategically in battle. theres also very little that is FF about it apart from the sprites and music. But the nostalgia was pretty good and they featured a ton of characters. 10x10 and 20x20 boards are fun too if you like picross. Game crashes a lot for me tho. It also never released outside of Japan anyway.
And now we have FFRK, which i suppose is FF's answer to games like Brave Frontier(?), which are more RPG like, but catered to mobile gaming. The awesomest bit here is that the RPG elements are classic FF style. ATB and command input. the gameplay is very decent and the customization is great. and to appeal to fans they make use of nostalgia and "recreate" moments in FF games to be played out here, going as far as to use the same strategies required. very very clever. it also makes you want to go play the older FF games.
my biggest concern now is that i foresee myself playing this.. very very often for the next few months.. because i'd want to be up to date and ready to take on the challenge events for my fave FF characters. They've been rather slow at rolling out new characters (which seems understandable) and theres only been 22 challenge events thus far in japan. The existing number of classic/elite dungeons seem more than enough to keep people occupied for now.. but we know more are to come.
looking forward to more classic dungeons and challenge events. also they did say at some point they're looking into adding FFXI and FFXIV stuff as well, so thats got me hopeful.
edit: @Dimmauk, try fabul castle elite.
It crash alot on Equipement screen when i scroll if i don't do the little trick
sometimes when i enter a dungeon too but that's rare
Samsung Galaxy note 4 here. Crashed maybe twice so far. Its not been too bad for me.
Note 3 and Ive never crashed
Ok last dungeon for PLD Cecil!
Also how hard are the last like 4 dungeons on Shinra?
Depends how leveled you are, if yo uare 25+ you can faceroll them if not
Floor 60 get range attacks (over leveled or not cannot melee it)
Floor 65 same thing but more HP
Floor 70 kill the dog asap then blind the buff if you are weak, then rush it
Ima get cecil tomorrow AM i need some orbs atm![]()
Good luck getting Pld Cecil, that last boss wrecked me and I still can't clear it somehow. The fucker just spams darkness attacks that just bombard me.
The last dungeons in Shinra aren't hard if you have multiple Thundaras (I had 3, 2 on Rydia and 1 on Tyro), and another ranged (I was using Wakka)
