Is there an effective way to farm items or orbs? Likes do sourdough ones do on certain boards?

My party is around level 23 now and I did all of the regular story stuff; working on getting Cecil (PLD) before he's gone, but is there anything else I can do besides Dailys Normal Mode? Not sure if I'm the appropriate level for any of the hard stuff and don't wanna waste the stamina atm![]()
Normal Tuesday and Fridays are good to level up your gear, but most of the orbs you'll get on the other three weekdays are for the tier 1 spells, so they're just stepping stones. Tier 2 stones do drop on normal, but they're fairly rare.
I'd say give Hard a try. A few of your characters may get KO'd, but as long as you make it out, you're fine. Most of the Hard monsters have 1.0-1.5k HP, and can hit for anywhere from 500 AoE to 1.5k single target.
Start with the lowest level elite dungeon. I think VII and X are the easy ones?
Oh yea, once you're around the right levels, get the four 4* weapons from Elite Mastery. Rod, Staff, Bow, Harp. Unless you got lucky with Relic pulls, those are going to be your best weapons for a while.
I've been spamming hard level element orbs. I go balls out on first part. I usually lose one guy, but as long as I complete the level I'm good cause I flee afterwards.
Better question...How much $$$ did you spend for those stars?
The pic is from the FFXIAH thread: http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/46...per/2/#2873222
Edit: I've seen people say they have pulled 2 5-stars in $30-$50.
7 stars is the cap right now (pull 5*, double combine).
ive pulled 2 5 stars in a single 11 pull before.. and also none. in the long haul its still like 5% chance.
I'd assumed max cap is 6* but if the base rarity +2* rule applies maybe 5* can go up to 7?
all the 6*s ive seen so far were of base 5* gear tho.. so i dunno if 4*s can reach 6.
also ive never seen 7* so either its really hard to get or not worth it lol
If you make Regen you can throw that on him as well. It is a set 3%/tick so his MND doesn't effect it.
Everyone is blowing the SPD thing way out of proportion. Sure, he charges his ATB gauge a little slower, but it's not nearly as slow as people are making out to be.
7* is the highest. The problem is you'd have to get 3 of a single 5* from Rare Relic Pull. It's expensive to combine and upgrade, but really the problem is the money to get 3 of the same 5* item.
If you check out the FFRK reddit, you do see people who paid $100 in the first week to get 7* stuff.
Just pulled my first 5 * and it's a lolstaff
Beat Baron Castle (IV) Elite today.
Party setup was:
* Sephiroth lv38: Kunai++, Mythril Armor++, Power Wrist; Double Cut (lv2) & Thunder (lv3)
* Cloud lv42: Sleep Blade, Genji Armor, Power Wrist; Blizzard Strike (lv1) & Thunder Strike (lv1)
* Rydia lv39: Lilith Rod, Black Cowl++, Earring; Blizzara (lv2) & Cura (lv3)
* Kain lv43: Giant's Axe, Mythril Helm++, Power Wrist; Double Cut (lv1) & Jump (lv2)
* Tyro lv39: Rune Axe, Kenpo Gi, Power Wrist; Dark Attack (lv2) & Poison (lv1)
Baigan's arms have about 12-13,000 HP each now instead of 20,000. Baigan has about 21,000.
Lay everyone into his right arm to kill it off quickly. After it dies put your melee on the body while Rydia throws Blizzara into the left arm. I only have lv2 Blizzara so I put 2 into the right arm and saved the other two for Cagnazzo. My Blizzaras with the above set up did just over 5000 damage. After those first two I had her waiting for heal duty while the melee reached the 20,000 damage threshold on Baigan. Once I hit that 20,000 damage mark on body I set everyone to attack the arm killing it and the body in one round.
For Cagnazzo:
Had low HP so I used 4 Curas to heal up the party from Rydia before I used my last two Blizzaga on him. Had Cloud do interrupt duty for the first two AoE/Water Barrier to hit the vulnerability as well as the interrupt. Each Thunder Strike did about 2700 damage. While Cloud was on interrupt duty I had Seph use his last two Double Cuts before setting him on interrupt duty with Thunder. His Thunder only did 188 damage even with the vulnerability, but it does stop the AoE.
Dark Attack failed both times; no Poison casts left to use either. Kept going anyway as he was only doing 200-400 damage with Rydia being on the high side. Used Soul Breaks after I used up all my abilities and then melee attacks. Took him down shortly after he emerged from his shell.
Ok real dumb question but how do you get blind?
Anyone seen anything about when the next event will be dropping?
Tomorrow, 5pm pacific time
