So does Bladeblitz do the same amount of damage as your normal swings to every mob or is it split? Debating on what high level ability to farm first with this Aeris event. Maybe I should've prefaced this by saying that I have next to nothing for abilities at the moment; Thundara is the only 2* I have at the moment and it's just R1.

They decreased the amount of Mythril we can buy, though. There were 5 to buy in the JP event, we only get two.

You get the other 3 for free from beating the fights.

Look at your orb inventory and see which ones RNG does not favor. I'm doing a lot of 4-star first and then rounding out the 3-star. I did get the growth eggs and Aerith is 28 now.

Edit: Reddit says Aerith/Mythrils/Gear since it's cheap and can be 4-star if you combine/need that. Otherwise, orbs.

I would definitely suggest getting Non-Elemental and Lightning Orbs. They both drop only from a rare spawn in their respective orb dungeons and they could be Lesser instead. Summoning orbs are also important to get.

As far as which summons to get? Shiva is the big 3* people use. For 4* I'd go with Syldra for lightning personally.

Sephiroth so OP like I said earlier.

I think my ideal party will be:

Cloud > Seph > PLD Cecil (for buffs/DD) > Aeris > Rydia

With proper synergy or 4-5* gear, a character's native stats only make up around half of its effective stats, so Sephiroth's advantages are often exaggerated. His Black Magic is only occasionally useful (e.g. Mastery points, Gravity, debuffs), and he is missing Spellblade and Support abilities. On top of that, his high Attack is often negated due to his poor weapon selection (I think most of us are using daggers or the 2*++ katana on him). He's better than nearly all of our physical DPSers, but I wouldn't exactly call him OP until some Samurai abilities are released.

I think Cloud and Tidus/Wakka are a lock for Spellblade and Support, respectively. Then Aeris for obvious reasons. If you can deal with Rydia's squishiness (in addition to Aeris'), she's great due to the farmable 4* rod, but I may drop her on bosses without vulnerabilities (unless I make and hone Comet).

Here's what I'll probably run with most of the time:

- Cloud
- Tidus
- Aeris
- Rydia, Sephiroth, PLD Cecil <<< two of these

Weapons definitely make the difference. I'm still using Tyro because I have a 4* axe for him that gives +71 ATK. Nothing else I have can come close to that for either Wakka or Tidus. Right now Tyro is my utility character.

Honestly, at the end of the day, any content should be doable with any combination of people assuming you get the different abilities in there. I know I plan to have many different people leveled up.


Does anyone have a list of the order that jp got the characters? Want to look ahead to see whats next.

This link has the events in order they got them in JP. The time periods they ran are in each section (if it's clickable). This one is all the quests, but they don't give time periods for release. I haven't found an order for quests they release other than the events.

Squall soon after those 2 and Lenna. We're suddenly gonna have a few choices for Spellblade.

It would be awesome if they surprised people and made an XI dungeon/characters.

As an FYI, there's a future Kirin summon that does Regen to all. Since there is no party heal, even in JP, that's the only form of non-SB party heal we're going to get, and luckily, Aeris can do 2* summons.

And I just noticed that Aeris can do 2* Support, and Terra 4*. Tidus and Wakka lose some of their appeal with that in mind, especially when Terra comes out.
