I didn't find any of this set of elites particularly hard. :/ Double spellblades wrecked Lunasaurs with some ruinga and meteor thrown in and Ogopogo was easy when I treated it like Bahamut and stacked light armor and even used the water ring from a few events back.

that'll depend on how many other VII realm 5* weapons you got, or other realm 5*s and above.
if you've only 1 other VII weapon (gold sword dont count) or if its a restricted weapon like hairpin or gunarm, consider keeping the 2nd one first. If 2 or more, you can feel free to combine it. If you generally lack 5* swords, then hold off as well, otherwise combine away

For FF IV elites, bring stona on your whm. And don't let mages auto attack. Doing the last elite just now, first round blm attacks, counter blaster onto Aerith. Then Rinoa got stoned, then Sephiroth, squall eventually died, and was unable to solo Asura. Wound up spending the mithril so I wouldn't let all that stam go to waste.

For cereal... I don't know why you're doing things the intended way. If S/L wasn't a thing I'd bet S-E would have 1/4 the number of players they currently do. Which is also probably why they havent come up with a fix of any kind.
