This is another reason that I'm hesitant to make and hone meteor to R2. I can either have that or 300 GBO when orb conversion comes.

done with the elite jenovas. life was fine with mitigation up, death even with mitigation up came close to knocking out aerith or vivi if they got hit with red light twice.

only did classic ultima weapon, his hp values there are pretty low where my party (cloud zack vaan aerith vivi) had him dead within 3 turns. vaan had power and mental breakdown. boon rw, didn't use it on the first fight. classic isn't too bad but I'm not looking forward to elite.

Backwards conversion of 5* orbs to 4* orbs is definitely worth considering since you can max some R4 skills even which will be more useful than a R2/R1 5* skill.

After dicking around with Barrage some, and mind you I don't even have native Advance nor do I ever generally run a melee party, I'm leaning on the side of "nothing is more useful than Barrage".

Shit is just silly.

Backwards conversion of 5* orbs to 4* orbs is definitely worth considering since you can max some R4 skills even which will be more useful than a R2/R1 5* skill.

Ever since I pulled a keepsake ribbon I've made the transition to a mostly physical party and I would prefer higher hones on black magic versus AoE clearing of trash mobs. With barrage though, I have the right relics to maximize it's damage and an R2 would just make it even more broken.

After dicking around with Barrage some, and mind you I don't even have native Advance nor do I ever generally run a melee party, I'm leaning on the side of "nothing is more useful than Barrage".

In the last DU I was able to do a minimum of 30k damage per use stacking advance, PP, armor breakdown and full break. That's SSB type numbers from a 5* ability and with the + dailies it's now somewhat farmable for hones.

I also think that there is a lot more utility for people with good attack buffs since there are more single target boss fights than multitarget.

Yeah, but your situation is very different having a Luneth with Advance. Majority of people will benefit more with the 4* abilities maxed (although this kinda becomes unnecessary when you start becoming able to spam SSBs with Lifesiphon especially since every boss rush I've done since I've started JP ver has only had 2 bosses in it.)

Even without advance I was popping 20-24k on the new elite bosses with PP + armor break + full break. Shit is silly.

I would make the same recommendation that you are for the average player. Outside of full break the utility of the 5* abilities is pretty situational unless you have the right relics. Even right now it's possible to get by without full break.

I know that my situation is different than most people. Advance is just stupid fucking broken but just like everyone else I love seeing huge damage numbers. I have no clue what DeNA was thinking when they gave it a buff that large.

He has an average of 50-75k hp per pop on elite
