Got 1 major power and 1 major black today along with 3 or 4 greaters of each, the drop rates are decent enough that farming a whole day doesn't feel like a complete waste.

I hate these new dailies as I've sank so much stamina in to them since release and I've only gotten 1 Major orb across all the days. Shit is ridiculous.

Sank all my stamina last week and today into the daily today and I haven't even seen the major dropping mob once across all those runs.

Major orbs will always be heavily RNG dependent. That's what orbfest taught me and orbfest had a slightly better drop rate on majors than the new dailies. I did over a 100 refreshes during orbfest and there were long stretches of time where I didn't get any drops then in a couple of hours get bunch of majors.

Simple eye test tells me I get more greater orbs, but that's about it. Thing I like about + is I can burn my stamina that much more faster than heroic and feel good about not wasting any, despite not being sure if it is better...

You're doing these dailies for the wrong reasons. These are for greater orbs, majors are a bonus and nothing more.

Cid ffxiii 130 difficulty
Bahamut ffxiii 136 difficulty

I just need 1 Major Power and Lightning for Full Break which is why I've been doing them for the 5*. Otherwise I wouldn't care.
