Tried using it during the last fight of the zidane/amarant event. When amarant moves back, he's out of range while using the pumpkin, although gun/gun arm worked fine.

Dunno, everytime zidane tried to attack I kept getting the out of range message. Barrett could attack no problem.

I'm leaning toward bugged, amarant was a total bitch on that attempt too. Possible I missed it and left a sword on, but not likely since I moved zidane to the back row and changed his RM and all. In the end we all got the master on it, so w/e at this point.

On a side note, is amarant that strong in IX? I never played it.

Got a Kotetsu(I think, FF5, Gilgamesh one with the 3 hit+Paralyze). I'm okay with this. Did a 3 Star pull on the FF8 banner right after and got the Inferno Dagger... Woulda liked something nicer like any Gunblade at all, but its still nice!

I don't see any reason not to combine Blazefire Saber since I have tons of FF13 synergy gear but what about Healing Staff? Is there a reason to keep the 2 seperate?

I have 4 natural 5* mage weapons (Sleipnir's Tail, Enhancer, Healing Staff, Keep of Saints) so it would basically be purely for FFV synergy or double healers. Is that ever going to be applicable?

Diaga does pretty good damage, and there are a fair amount of bosses that are weak to holy. A second white mage can serve as a ghetto black mage for the right dungeons, especially if you need more two or more utility spells (carbuncle, protectga, shellga, dispel, etc.)

example:
Curaga + song on Eiko
Utility + Diaga on second white mage

The additional boost from a combine isn't going to do much for mage weapons, because you're likely to hit cap even before the combine if you have RS. And if you don't have RS, an extra 5 levels is not noticeable.
