For Elite Bahamut dungeon fight, is losing haste with LH or Boon worth opting for Planet Protector? I've read with SS/SG up and breaks he hits pretty soft

Also wondering if it's worth it to replace Squall with Snow just for synergy purposes. He would have a realm weapon as well.

Having just beat Bahamut I can easily say that no, Snow is not worth it even with a synergy weapon. It was one of those win with 00 left on the doom counter and I wish I had brought Cloud or a second Black Mage.

Both 5*s are damage-only SBs for mediocre characters, so nothing to be terribly excited about, but two in an 11x draw is pretty good. And they'll be great for your melees in those realms.

Mog Scarf, Kotetsu (V) and a 4 star Mesmerize Blade to give me either 2 4 star melee weapons for 8 finally or a single 5 star, not sure yet about combining. My VIII melee synergy is crap. I do however already have both of Rinoa's weapons and Irvine's gun.

Having just beat Bahamut I can easily say that no, Snow is not worth it even with a synergy weapon. It was one of those win with 00 left on the doom counter and I wish I had brought Cloud or a second Black Mage.

I'm planning to bring Hope and Vanille with -JA spells, Lightning with Blazefire Saber, Yshtola with Diaga and Thyrus, and then Squall with shear trigger. Might have to drop Squall for Sazh for full break.

Sazh is a tough call. I took him because I have Vega's, but Bahamut is resistant to Armor & Mental Break so I'm not sure how much it helped vs having a better DD in his place. My problem is I went with the full XIII party with Vanille as my WHM and Hope as my BLM and just barely had enough damage with that group. You're bringing two black mages so you're already better set up than I was plus you also have Lightning's weapon. I think you'll be fine whatever you do with the last spot.
