Wow what a world of difference blind makes on the +++ fight. Also on Steal Power its really nice, does the ATK boost get lowered if a monster resists it? Zidaine went from 2,500 > almost 6k on +++ fight.

Nope, the attack buff is always 50%.

Went mythril broke for it (185 dumped into it I think? Got Laguna's Coat, 2nd Irvine Gun, Throwing Mage Weapon, and the shitty FF8 knife)... but, just near the end:


JP Account has all 3 BSSBs now, but it's severely lacking in the buff SB department. I kind of wanted Edea's SSB more than Squall's BSSB, but... not gonna complain especially since Squall/Edea are my favorite FF chars and I did at least get a good mage weapon for Edea even if her SB sucks.

Steal Power is +50%; it's not shitty at all even if you have no haste (it's basically a wash without haste), but when you have haste, you can get 3-4 abilities off under the effect of PS which makes it considerably better than the alternatives. Having native or RW PP or Ramza's Scream will make it virtually useless though.

After looking into it more I have to agree with this. That +50% attack becomes a 2.07 modifier for all damage done. An easy comparison is that the attack command with the attack buff turns into a slightly better version of launch without the buff. Even with the zero damage from using it you can quickly catch up to the damage from power breakdown plus another ability.

Edea is meh... how can you release a pure BLM and buff the other BLM of that realm at the same time? Poor Quistis though lol, they better release Blue Magic soon.

I'm curious how they plan to balance Blue Magic. Will it just be a hodgepodge of renamed nukes/heals/breakdowns or will they have unique effects?

Mainly concerned because throwing orbs at Dances/Songs already is a crapshoot when there are already skills that do the same thing widely available. Orbs don't grow on trees!

I could imagine the Core's default SB being Lore I, random 2* BLU spell with SB weapons for the others continuing to give them their signature spells.

Worst part about Soulcage is it opening with Fira before you can set up mitigation. Not as bad as that one +++ from one of the FFX event though.

If you S/L enough he'll rarely start with a Mustard Bomb, sapping one target. Did that for me one time, but the rest of the time was me trying to get mitigation up in a decent order.

My problem when I get the Mustard Bomb was blind not landing for two rounds before I decide the time wasted will eat up my SG/SSII duration

Yeah, my main problem with soul cage was blind not landing across multiple S/L's. Shit was oddly difficult to land across all of this events bonus battles.

Also, seems the 20 scarletite from the +++ fights going forward (starting with lulu event) will finally be rosetta stones. Equipment dailies now have a use!

After far too much S/L I finally got a good start on that fucking tree and managed to get mitigation up in time, making for a relatively easy fight after. Aaand I forgot to exploit its weakness. (ノ゜Д゜)ノ 彡 ┻━━┻

Yep, she apparently summons Brothers with her new SB. So many mages in FFVIII lol, guess I never really noticed with magic being so restricted in that game.

Edit: And just got Laguna's jacket on my JP account lol. I keep trying to do 3 single pulls to boost my chances with the Mog 11x pull but the game is tossing me 5* every third single one. Can't really complain I guess but I'm really not used to it with global.

Just wait... it won't always be like that and 11s don't really have that increased rate for every single pull within that draw (it'll reset within the individual pull once you get 5*); it's pretty obvious if you try it a few times and unfortunately for me, I've had more than a few shit luck streaks on pulls to test that. Laguna's Jacket is really nice for a light armor; I kinda wish I didn't blow all my mythril last night chasing Edea's SSB/Squall's BSSB, but at least I got Squall's BSSB.
