that Zanmato on Yojimbo is incredibly annoying. Other than that though, he's totally easy. very farmable.

Like Alkar said, it's coming back in SSBfest and that would be a much better banner to spend mythril on.

I just want a couple to follow though. It's a good RW for a mage meta party.

Took me 3 tries too, first try got him to 5% then he hit, never to happen again
last try I got him to 1% when he disappear but I got lucky and he reappeared on the 2nd hit

Just barely mastered Yojimbo, with full break, armor and power breakdown, lunatic high, and SG, his dog would still hit for 1k+ and he is so damn tanky, ran out of abilities at 15% and had to whittle him down.

Call it anecdotal, but I'm suspecting multi-hit abilities have a greater chance of making the boss pop. In my frustrations, I had Cloud use his default SB and, surprise, there it was. In elite, I went in with Tempo Flurry since I didn't before, popped second use of it. Before that, I was mainly just using auto-attacks of ST abilities. Mercifully, it doesn't have too much HP on elite, but it still attacks pretty fast in book form, so getting mitigation up can be a RNG affair.

Wiki's notation that it pops after doing some set damage is bullshit.

I only used Full Break, LH and SS2 and him and his dog only seemed to hit for around 400. I was using an all mage team though so everyone was in the back row.

I didn't have a problem getting that other boss out of the pages. Took 3-4 hits usually, needed him to pop out twice. That AoE attack he did though did about 1500 dmg to everyone on classic, wasn't expecting that

Seriously? I have like, no good FF10 synergy. Let alone a natural form of Protect without wasting a spell slot(non RW)

Tantarian works pretty similarly to how he did in FF9 - you have to do a specific amount of damage to get him to show his real self. This is between 45% and 25% of his hidden form's HP. This form has 21,126 HP. This means the magic number is:

between 9,507 and 5,282 remaining HP

If you do bring this form lower than 5,282 HP it will recover to 100%. So you're aiming to deal:

between 11,619 and 15,844 damage

For the record the real Tantarian has 98,585 HP.

Elite

Book form has 28,871 HP. That means you need to deal:

between 15,879 and 21,653 damage

Real form has 134,728 HP

Actually had more trouble with Flux because of cross cleave (mostly because I didn't bring mitigation).

Then again, I did get lucky that Jimmy used Zanmato four times and I didn't die (or it missed).

For the last ffix dungeon, bring minimum 2 ff9 characters so that the boss is weaker and bring carbuncle ( he only does reflect and single targets nukes)
