Mustard bomb got Zidane at the last second so I lost 6 medals for Ko and zidane KO.

While I'm not doubting that math, I'm finding it highly suspect that I didn't get the thing to appear when just using auto attacks, mages included. There's possibly another element where the book recovers after a certain attack or a round. Had Cloud doing like 5.2-7.4k if boosted, Zidane was like 5-8k with Power Steal, mages were like 200-400, while any ability use was 9999. Either way, I'm done with it now. Rest of the IX fights were cake in comparison.

There's no RNG involved but the window is kinda small. If you overshoot it will recover to full health and you have to start over.

Just a heads up on the FFIII Behemoth, as it can double cast Meteor when it's low on HP. Should make the elite interesting since few of us have good III synergy. x.x

Honestly, this SB fest is hardly appetizing by itself, besides the addition of another opportunity to pick up one of the 3 crucial SB types. The following one where there's at least 3 SSBs per banner will have every single SSB on the upcoming fest in addition to others. I've said this 20 times but you absolutely need 2 of these 3 types of relics to make your life as painless as possible when misfortune and misfortune+ come out:
1. SS2 / Sentinel Grim (I'd rather use these as RW even if I had Y'sh or Tyro)
2. AoE Cure (ideally you want a high regen as well, but that could be attached to #3 as well depending on what you use)
3. AoE Haste

That's basically the bare minimum; ideally you want an AoE attack boost as well like Planet Protector especially if it's combined with one of the 3 things above (like Ramza's Scream). Also, you want your SBs to synergize well together without overlapping effects, but the RNGesus may not allow it.
I consider Yuna's Hymn of the Faith and Ramza's Scream (when it comes out) to be the best of the 2nd and 3rd type, but there's a bunch of other solid, if not identical combos as well. I believe Lenna has a relic with exactly the same SB as Hymn, so go after whichever char you like the best.

It doesn't take away those character specific medals. Either way he doesn't use Zanmato for like 10-11 turns so go all out, bring Hastega and Greg with Draw Fire+Retaliate and the best X sinergy you've got.

I don't do retaliate. I could've probably revived them if it doesn't take away my medals. I'll retry tomorrow.
