I sure hope they make it a three hour movie.
I sure hope they make it a three hour movie.
I feel like this is the case. It's not that they'll finish off Thanos by the end of the movie, but that it'll be a completely different arc by the time the sequel to part 1 comes out that it's better to just call it a different movie.

Are there any other Marvel movies planned to be released in between the two films? It would seem really out of place to release another Marvel flick if Infinity War ends on a kind of cliffhanger with Thanos in power threatening the universe and our heroes down and out.
Thats the sense I got. It doesn't seem like its gonna change anything for the actual movies.
I was expecting some super cliffhanger at the end of the first and I hope that hasn't changed. I trust marvel/Disney as their movies have not let me down, but trying to cram all of thanos into a single movie with all the characters they have talked about will be like X-Men Apocolypse 2.0 and super rushed
That doesn't really work. Infinity Wars should be a thing that closes an arc, not opens it.
You can't have a movie like that and then follow it up with a SHIELD episode where Coulson is like "ever since Thanos got the gems our hands have been tied cleaning up the mess. I wonder how HYDRA is doing?"
Thanos is going to snap his fingers and kill half the universe, including anyone who's contracts are up or cost too much, then we'll get Riri Williams etc as replacements.
They could just have Thanos not finish the gauntlet in Infinity War. I mean, two or three stones and Thanos handing ass would be enough to keep hypefuel going for the eventual caketopper MCU grand finale. It also allows them to throw out Ant-Man2 / Captain Marvel and make some cash off fans looking for finale setup.
Black Panther releases 2 months after Infinity War now (always). Did they plan his solo movie to be after all of this on purpose? I expected to see his solo movie prior to Infinity War.
Edit: I looked it up on the web and it says February 16, 2018 as the release date. Would someone be able to change the title of our Black Panther thread to reduce confusion? It says right now a July release date.
I believe Black Panther was originally slated before Infinity Wars and then delayed to be afterwards.
Naw its coming in Feb before IW.
Clearly the first movie is Thanos killing all the heroes. The second movie is the GLA trying to stop Thanos, he kills them all except Squirrel Girl and then Squirrel Girl beats him. After she uses the Infinity Guantlet to bring everyone back.
Barb(Shannon Purser) for Squirrel Girl btw.
I think Thanos just visits the Star Wars universe to mop up Episode 9 then returns to mop up the Marvel franchise.
Or insert obligatory Patton Oswalt filibuster speech.
RDJ's verified Facebook page posted this earlier today, lol
