That'd be lame considering the takeaway from Thor 3 was that he doesn't need the hammer and it was just a conduit to channel his power through. He's stronger now and doesn't need it.

Only thing I could think of would be Strange using the Eye (time stone) to reverse his vision back and get the hammer back, but he's still got a scar, so...who knows.

While I was reading around on the Marvel reddit for those leaked teasers/videos yesterday I saw a supposed piece of concept art for Infinity War. Idk how legit that is, but googling "Infinity War concept art Thor with Rocket" pulled it right up. The post was claiming it's the axe he uses in the comics. I'd imagine the lack of the eye patch and inclusion of the hammer is just to use the most iconic and well known look of the character for marketing. Easier to use that-hammer-guy look.
