Not really. After Infinity War and the universe gets re-adjusted with the stones, or whatever route they go, they can just say "So many things got shifted, there might be slight alterations on what reality is now" or some shit. I dunno I woke up 30 minutes ago, I'm still half asleep. But basically hey mutants exist now because Thanos fucked so much up. Retcon established.

Also as far as the interactions and possibilities, they can just re-cast roles if they had to. Every comic book run has a different artist and variations on the heroes. They can do the same thing here. While the current cast is great, there's no saying that someone else can't do it better. Hell, Hugh Jackman was a nobody when X-Men came out. Like literally. And look at the guy now. RDJ was pretty much a washed up actor until Marvel put faith in him. So they can def do it if they wanted.

Uhhh the trailer pretty explicitly shows Thanos ripping the mind gem out of Vision's skull. So that too.

I was leaving room for the possibility the next scene is someone smashing into him and saving Vision last second, but yeah the chances are that Viz is toast.

However the bigger thing I wanted to highlight is this might mean Thanos has already destroyed the entirety of the Nova Corps which would pave the way for a Nova movie.

So we know:

He gets the Power Stone first, probably learning that the Nova Corps had it from Nebula (who doesn't seem to be with the Guardians in that pic). I'm guessing the Guardians chase him to Knowhere, where he beats down the Collector to find the Reality Stone (which is 'somewhere') and the Collector reveals Asgard had one of the others.

Thanos is on his way to Asgard when he comes across the Asgardians, decimates them and Thor (thanks to the Power Stone), and to save himself Loki hands over the Space Stone, probably revealing the Mind Stone is on Earth. Thanos uses that to go to Earth to retrieve the Mind Stone (and probably kills Loki anyway) after punching Hulk through the portal or Hulk jumps through to follow him. My guess is they get the idea to take Vision to Wakanda to save him, which is why they're all together in Wakanda.

Thor gets left behind and comes across the Guardians, who bring him to Earth. Thanos will undoubtedly get the Mind Stone OR Cap saves the day and protects it. The Soul Stone is probably in Wakanda as we'll find out (because the stones naturally want to come together) in Black Panther.

So either Thanos gets 2/5, 3/5, or 4/5 by the end of the movie.

When they reveal Cap it looks like he's coming in during the same scene that Wanda was fighting, and it would make sense that's also when Thanos comes for the Mind Stone. So Cap saves the day seems likely unless they want to kill Vision off right away to show how serious Thanos is.

Nebula left the Guardians at the end of GotG2 (I can't remember if it was to go out on her own or to go attack Thanos).

We can see he gets the space gem after the power gem, so he at least has two, but we can't really see the thumb, so the reality gem might be installed there. I'm assuming he goes reality (at the start of the movie -- based on the events of the leaked clip), to power, to space, to mind.

See, I don't think he actually gets the reality stone. That would just be weird, in context that we don't even know what it does (Thanks, fucking Thor 2).
