Afaik, Universal still has the rights to solo Hulk movies.

It's rights for distribution, and I don't think World War Hulk counts as a solo when you'd have Xavier, Strange, the Fantastic 4, and the Avengers.

Yeah, distribution meaning Disney would be letting Universal make money off their IP, which they aren't going to do. As to whether it counts as a solo film, I imagine Disney would have to prove that in court which is another thing they probably can't be bothered to do.

There's a reason they dressed Hulk the way they did in Ragnarok.

Actually the whole Hulk is a gladiator thing is Planet Hulk. Hulk's spaceship blowing up on Planet Hulk and destroying the life he built is what enrages him, makes him return, and starts World War Hulk.

Arguably there's still room to do both.
