seen and enjoyed most Marvel films and will see and enjoy this one but kinda feeling what Cameron is saying. film industry is becoming a little monotone with its blockbusters as all these superhero films are p formulaic. need more Gladiators and fewer Ant-mans you know. shit man just need more original stories, almost everything big outside of Pixar/Disney animation is an adaption or a sequel these days.

Hollywood is cyclical. Super hero movies are the "in" thing for the last decade or so. I don't think there's much difference in this cycle versus westerns, or teen comedies, or slasher films, or natural disaster flicks etc.

I'm terrible and never watched the MCU movies (seen the xmen ones though). Binging yesterday/today/tonight/tomorrow/tom night to try and catch up for this. I am pretty excited and mad at myself for being terrible and never watched these before

I have my first midnight showing on Thursday morning. For those that have done that before, do you recommend trying to sleep a little beforehand or just face the fact that you might only be able to get like 3 hours sleep before getting up for work?

When I saw Rouge One at 1:30 AM I went to sleep the minute i got home from work and just stayed up till I had to go the work next morning.

I got tix for 9:30 Thursday night. Hopefully my theater doesn't fuck up again like they did the opening night of The Last Jedi. They had to cancel roughly 75% of the screenings due to technical issues.
